"Bol." Shehnaaz looked at Sidharth expectantly when he brought her to the side when she couldn't even get her glass refilled in the hurry.
"Kya baat kar rahi thi tu usse?" He asked her.
"Kuch khaas nahi, aisi. Banda mujhe company de raha tha." She shrugged, replying.
"Usne tujhe drinks offer kiye?" He inquired.
"Nahi yaar, maine khud ne liye. Itni akal hai mere me." She said, rolling her eyes at him.
"Dekha maine kitni akal hai, address bata rahi thi usko apna!" He retorted.
"Really!?" She scoffed at him in disbelief.
"Mai toh usko wahi Jagjit paaji wale restaurant ke bare me bata rahi thi!" She shrugged.
"Really? Jo tere ghar ke paas hai…?" He mimicked her in response to make her realize.
"Oh come on Sidharth! Maine sirf Andheri bola, konsa wo mera ghar dhoondne lagega?" She chuckled at him for being silly.
"Do you even know who that guy is!?" He asked, getting mad at her for being so casual about it.
"Nahi, pehle mujhe bata, how many drinks did you have with him there? Just because someone you just met is being nice, doesn't mean he is actually nice!" He was scolding her now.
"You know what! You're overreacting. I believe that he is a nice guy. Mai bore hote baithi thi, jab wo aaya aur hum baatien karne lage, isme kya galat hai?" She was still standing on her words wondering what went wrong.
"Baatein kar raha tha ya flirt?" He questioned.
"It's the same thing!" She made a face, crossing her arms across her chest with a pout. It was Sidharth's party and it was obvious that he wouldn't be able to attend her all the time, so it was fine if she made a quick friend in the meanwhile and about flirting, it wasn't a really big deal for her, some customers at Sprinkles did that all the time.
"I'm repeating myself for the last time, do you know him? No, you apparently don't. But I do. And you know why I'm overreacting? Because Ritwik's known for sleeping around!" He couldn't help but be brutally honest with her.
"Wh- do you mean I would have- Sidharth, mai tere mukke marungi! Mere bare me bakwas karega toh!" She retorted, wanting to actually hit him if he was questioning her character.
"Tere baare bakwas nahi kar raha hu! Tujhe bata raha hu, ki wo ek chutiya insaan hai jiske irade kabhi ache nahi hote!" He clarified, making her look back at him.
"Toh tu bol raha hai, yadi mai usko galti se bhi apne bare me kuch bata deti. Toh wo uska kuch galat matlab nikalta?" She asked and saw him nod, perceiving the odd repercussions she would have faced after leading on the guy unintentionally. She thought about it for a minute and her eyes began to fill up.
"Oye! Kya hua?" Sidharth was surprised to see her on the verge of crying.
"Kuch nahi." She mumbled.
"Shehnaaz? Baba, kya soch rahi hai?" He nudged her.
"Mujhe nahi aana tha yaha, isliye! Kyuki mai janti nahi yaha logon ko!" She spoke, looking away.
"Now where did that come from?" He was confused, when she had herself agreed to come then why was she regretting it.
"Poori party me ek banda, sirf ek bande se maine baat ki. Aur wo bhi mujh se apne matlab ke liye baat karne aaya. And was giving him all the wrong hints." She answered him, she felt like she made a fool out of herself.
"What! No! Gadhi hai kya? Aisa kuch nahi hua!" He held her hand to gather her attention from her own thoughts.
"Tune toh abhi yahi bola na!" She mentioned.
