"Are you ready?!" Sidharth knocked at the door a little impatiently.
"Almost!" Shehnaaz replied, giggling.
"It's not funny! Bahar guests aa gaye hai, we have to go and meet them. Jitna tu abhi late karegi utna late night tak chalega sab!" He complained, standing outside.
"2 din huye nahi shaadi ko aur pati ne daatna chalu kar diya!? Yaar, ready toh hone de ache se!" She retaliated.
"Pati faltu me nahi bol raha hai! Tujhe subha se bola tha, jaldi ready hone ko." He snapped at her and left to check up on the media's updates. They were back in Mumbai in a couple of days and it was their reception today at the Ritz-Carlton.
"I won't let him sleep inside tonight." She mumbled under her breath and Amrit and Akriti giggled.
The girls were getting ready together, helping each other with their hair and makeup in the hotel room. Dressed in the deepest shade of red, could be considered maroon, with hair neatly tied back, Shehnaaz was looking beautiful in the saree she was wearing by Bhattacharya. She adjusted her pallu that was over the V neck blouse and straightened her back to look at herself properly in the mirror after wearing her high heels.
"Mai ja rahi, wo udhar gussa karne laga hai." She told the girls and went out to look for her husband who was supposedly talking to his secretary on the balcony.
"Ahm!" She tapped on his back.
"Okay, keep me post-" words failed to come out of his mouth when he got to see his wife upon turning back.
"Hi husband!" She seductively whispered, keeping her hands over his chest and following his eyes on her, how they adored her face, eyes, hair, face again, lips and moved down towards her cleavage and kind of got stuck there.
"Eyes up here!" She giggled and lovingly leaned into him when he wrapped his hands around her.
"You look gorgeous baby! Ravishing in red!" He replied, rubbed his nose against hers softly and then bit it.
"So fucking hot!" He whispered, firming his grip on her. She looked so divine!
"Thank you so much! Acha, tujhe ye suit kaisa laga? Fitting achi aayi? Royal blue looks good no?" She excitedly asked him about the suit she made for him to wear tonight. It was a 3 piece suit, a waistcoat, jacket and trouser with a contrastingly black tie. She couldn't do it alone though, Rizwan had helped a lot in the making, in the designing and with the material.
"Yep, it's great. Comfortable! I loved it!" He replied.
"You're looking dashing yourself!" She complimented him, pecking his lips real quick.
"Sunn, yadi late nahi ho raha toh Akriti aur Amrit ke liye do minute ruk jaye? they're also done." She suggested.
"Sure." He nodded.
The reception was a grand affair. There were his employees, his business partners, investors, fellow acquaintances, a couple of Bollywood actors who were his product's brand ambassadors, media and a heck lot of people there, even Devashish Bhattacharya was invited.
"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Shukla! You two look great together! You guys are adorable! What a beautiful couple!" Was all they heard, hundreds of people and thousands of bouquets. She had met so many people in a couple of hours that she had begun to forget their names when they came across her again.
"You got a beautiful wife there!" A tall and handsome guy made his way towards them.
"OMG! Aditya Singhania!" She gasped when the actor approached and congratulated them, he was the brand ambassador of the Fitbit with the EDA sensor of Mobitechtron. She hugged him tightly, making him hug her back and then made sure their photographer captured this moment. Even though she married a businessman, moments like these were rare.
