"Did I tell you, I've to go to Panvel for a conference?" Sidharth asked Shehnaaz.
"No you did not. Kab jane wala hai tu?" She asked.
"Coming Thursday aur then Friday ko wapas. Bada conference hai." He replied.
"Acha." She nodded, visibly not really happy about it.
"Aur jaldi aane ka try karunga mai, Preeti ki delivery ab kabhi bhi ho sakti hai." He told her.
"Oh! Oh wow! She's going to have a baby by this week! Sidharth soch! Tu isi hafte Mama ban jayega! Aren't you happy? Tu khush kyu nahi hai?" She excitedly asked him.
"Khush toh hu lekin iss conference ke beech kahi usko admit karna pada toh?" He replied, somewhere worried about his sister's complicated pregnancy case.
"Toh Aunty aur tere jiju hai na! Chill, ya phir ek kaam kar, jaane se pehle baat karle apni Di se." She suggested.
"Nahi, rehne de. Bolunga toh wo sar pe chadd jayegi." He replied, she couldn't help but laugh the way said that.
"Jaise tu jayega toh unko pata hi nahi lagega? Buddhu! Anyway, jana kapde change kar! Time nahi ho raha tere meeting ka?" She asked him, he checked the time and excused himself to change.
"Ruk sunto! Ready hoke call karna dobara. Meko dekhna hai tu kaisa lagega!" She reminded him.
"Kal dekhi toh thi!" He shook his head, hanging up their skype call. They were video chatting, she didn't go to his place that day because he had to go for the meeting over dinner. And here they were, video calling each other and spending the little amount of time together they could before his meeting began.
"Wow Sidharth! You never looked this hot!" She smirked, complimenting her man through the phone screen.
"I mean meri choice kitni achi hai, look at the suit!" She added, praising herself that she made him wear the blue jacket she chose for him the other day.
"Yeah right. It's all in the suit." He rolled his eyes at her, on the fact that she was boasting about herself too much.
"Yaar ab dil pe na le. Mazak kar rahi thi mai, acha waha jayega na toh ek achi si photo click karwa lena." She laughed, replying.
"Meeting pe dhyaan de, acha lag raha hai tu!" She added when she found him checking himself in the mirror again and again.
"Hmm." He nodded, taking a seat on the edge of the bed and picking up a file, to go through some bulletins before leaving.
"Dhyaan dene bola toh turant file leke baith gaya!? Mai tujhe kuch batane wali thi!" She whined and frowned when he still didn't look up from those papers.
"Bol na, sunn raha hu." He replied and she took it as an opportunity to check if he was actually listening or not.
"Aaj backery me zor ki laggi meko, pao fisal gaya tha jab mai kaam kar rahi thi." She said and finally found him turning to face her. She wasn't entirely lying though, her foot had slipped but didn't hurt at all.
"Isme kya naya hai? Dekh ke toh chalna aata nahi hai tujhe! I've seen you bump into almost everything there." He stated, clearly expressing how he felt about the news. She was so clumsy that she'd end up hurting herself.
"Lagaya kuch? Gel, spray?" He asked then.
"Hmm lagaya tha, abhi thik hai. Thank you for asking." She regretfully replied, she shouldn't have mentioned about her foot slipping to gain his attention, it only got her an earful.
"Just a sec, ek call aa raha hai." He said, keeping her on hold to attend the other call. It was his secretary, telling him that they should leave for the meeting now, in order to reach in time.
