The sound was becoming annoying to the people in the room but no one could say anything. Prince Vincent kept on tapping his fingers on the arm rest of the wooden chair.
"Enough." the Emperor said. Prince Vincent obeyed and stopped. Every month the Imperial Family came together to have dinner except for the Empress and her second son. It was only Vincent, Melin and the Emperor.
"Brother, how has your work been? Are you keeping up?" Prince Melin asked to break the silence.
"Mhm." Prince Vincent replied and placed a piece of carrot in his mouth.
"What about your studies?"
"It's fine."
It was quiet once more. Prince Melin had a pained expression on his face. He didn't like this atmosphere.
"Vincent, I heard you got a visit from Lady Geshon. Is that true?" the Emperor asked.
"Yes, I did." Vincent said.
"She's quite beautiful. Are you two close?" Prince Melin asked with a smile.
"Not really. It is nothing to be concerned about though." Prince Vincent said. A Valet quickly made his way to the table and greeted the Royals before whispering something into Vincent's ears.
"Send a request that she comes here." Prince Vincent whispered back. "And get snacks and tea ready up to any noble lady's standards. Mess this up and you will-"
"Vincent!" the Emperor scolded. Vincent mumbled under his breath but the valet got the idea just by the glare he received.

'This is ridiculous!' Aurora thought. She could feel a headache start to form in her head. She barely got to eat when her parents pushed her out of the house to the Imperial Palace.
She angrily walked through the crown prince's palace but a child came running around the corner and ran straight into her. He fell down on the ground with a thud and flinched. What would a child be doing at the crown prince's palace? Her first thoughts were extremely bad and she knew to not make her own conclusions yet.
"Are you alright?" Aurora asked picking him up to his feet. "Are you hurt anywhere?"
"I'm fine...I'm really sorry Miss. " he apologized with tears in his golden eyes. She almost cried herself due to his cuteness. He had black hair and golden eyes but cheeks that are chubby.
"Please don't tell anyone I was here Miss!" he asked her desperately. A man appeared from around the corner with a pile of books in his hands.
"Dylan, there you are. You mustn't run like that. Apologies my Lady. Run along then. You wouldn't want her Majesty to find you here." the man said. Dylan glanced at Aurora with a desperate look in his eyes. She gave a warm smile and placed her finger on her lips.
"Your secret is safe." she told him. His face brightened up and he smiled at her back.
"Thank you Miss! Bye!" he yelled as he went running to exit the crown prince's palace.
"I'm truly sorry Lady Geshon. The young prince was quite in a hurry." the man said. She had a slight confusion on how he knew her name but brushed it off. As he moved the pile of books away from his face, she could see his features. He had silver-white-ish hair with bangs that almost hung over his eyes. He had big round glasses and a pure white cloak. It was definitely made of high-quality material and golden laces were woven into the hem and dissapeared as it moves upwards into the cloak.
"Young prince?" Aurora asked. She hasn't heard of him in novel before. Was he a side character?
"Yes, the young prince isn't allowed in the crown prince's palace you see, so I hope you will not tell on him. He was only curious as children are." the man said. The man looked quite young, only in his mid 20s. A young student perhaps? Judging by his atire and the cloak he had to be quite the scholar and at that age? The guy must be a genius.
"You must not worry, I won't. He's a sweet young boy. I couldn't dream of telling on him. Are you a scholar here at the Imperial Palace?" she asked. He looked taken aback for a while and then snorted which soon turned into a giggle.
"I see. Are you heading toward his Highness' Study?" the man asked. Aurora nodded in confusion. Was her question that stupid that he had to laugh about it?
"I as well. Let me escort you there Lady Geshon and I can tell you all about myself." he said with a smile. She nodded and followed next to him as he carried his books.
"I would not call myself a scholar but I suppose I am still learning. My name is Gin. It's a pleasure to meet you Lady Aurora Geshon." he said. Aurora was left frightened and shocked.
Gin?
As in...him?
"I apologize for not recognizing you sooner Master Gin." Aurora said. He gave another small snicker.
"It's fine. I'm surprised you know of me. I don't show my face outside of the palace." he said and led her down a hallway.
Master Gin, this 26 year old looking man is 2000 years old. In the novel he was described as a marionette under control of the Emperor. He was a highly dangerous sorcerer who ended a war 300 years ago in 1 hour, under orders of the Emperor of course.
Although he was described as a marionette, he was also described as being deceiving and sly.
This man was not a marionette but the puppeteer himself. The Emperor is only one of his many puppets of which he had deceived.
That's right, he is a psychopath who enjoys playing puppet for fun.
But from the outside he looked so normal and kind. Was this only a mask?
"Here we are, his Highness' study." Master Gin said.
