"It is no problem my lady. I trust you. Yesterday, when we made eye contact, I fell in love instantly! So please my lady. Marry me!" he said.

"Duke...so let me get this straight. You do not know identity nor my full face, but you wish to marry me?" she asked him, pinching the bridge of her nose. Did she not have enough of crazy things in her life right now?

"My lady even without seeing your eyes, I already know that your beauty cannot compare to anyone. As for your identity, I see no ring, and status does not matter to me." he said happily.

"I refuse." she said coldly.

"A-my lady! Wait! I can offer so much. If you want money, I have many!" he said. Classic Duke.

"I do not care for your money." she said.

"Jewels?! Dresses?" he asked desperately.

"No." she said.

"What could you desire then my lady?!" he asked.

"I do not desire anything from you Duke Raien." she said.

"I can give you anything!" he said.

"Duke. I'm not marrying you." she said and walked past him. He grabbed her wrist and pullled her mask off. She immediately covered her eyes.

"You dare to unmask me you insolent swine!" she shouted angrily. Unfortunately she was pretty much blind and before she knew it, he hugged her close to him.

"No matter if you despise me. I will make you mine, lady. You will be the most beautiful lady in this Empire and you shall have anything you desire." he whispered in her ear. She pushed him back with both her hands, revealing her face to him and he blushed. She gave a death glare towards him.

"You scum." she mumbled in a deep voice. He gave a smile as he blushed.

"My lady do not look at me like that! Your angered eyes make me truly excited!" he said. She bit down on her lips. This man was crazy! She had to escape immediately. She turned around and saw Vincent making his way over to her.

"What is going on here? Are you causing a scene?" he asked her. She flinched and shook her head. Although his threatening glare frightened her, she was somewhat relieved to see him.

"I'm heading back." she said and stormed off. He noticed her mask in the man's hand but chose to ignore it and followed behind her.

"You shouldn't just dissapear like that. I heard shouting out here so I came to check. You're not causing problems are you?" he asked.

"Of course not your Highness. I am merely doing what I came to do." she said.

"Wait. You shouldn't go back without a mask." he told her.

"I'm not going back to the ball. I'm heading towards my room." she said.

"Why? The night is still young? You have not even danced yet." he told her.

"I told you, I'm not in the mood to dance your Highness." she said. That whole encounter earlier shook her a bit. She just felt like locking herself up in her room.

"Very well." he said and they split up. Vincent went back to the hall and Aurora went to her room. Lena smiled at her when she got back. They talked about the lovely people while Lena undressed her.

"Oh dear, I left the comb in the bathroom. I'll be right back my Lady." Lena said. Aurora nodded. Aurora looked at her surroundings as the candle light overtook the surface of items. In the corner of her eye she caught something shiny. Hidden away in one of the roses was a glimmering purple ball.
