Author's POV
In the deep grey night sky, a bright greyish moon shines. Inside the dark bedroom, silvery white shadows filtered through the window. A blanket of stars that stretched all the way to the sky. As unsettled as a fish pulled from the water, a figure laying on the cold bed.
He sighed deeply, his gaze fixed on the white ceiling of the bedroom. His arms were crossed behind his back, his head resting on the soft fluffy pillow. He closed his eyes as Namjoon spoke up, both men wearing the same anxious expression. "Amy was last seen with you and if the cops somehow pull out a CCTV footage of that occurrence then it's all ruined."
He held his head, closing his eyes anf his lashes kissed his cheeks. He made a straight line with his lips.
Taehyung was panicking and having difficulty swallowing his saliva, but he knew that one of them had to remain rational.
"We'll be fine; this isn't the first time we've done something like this." He let out a confident sigh, but cold sweats remained on his face. Until someone spoke, the room was dark and cold, with pin-drop silence. I'm not sure if it's the storm in the men's hearts or if there's a hurricane outside making an eerie sound.
Namjoon had had enough of his brother's foul plays this year, and Taehyung's unbothered body language was making his neck nerves pop, enough that he snapped at his brother. "There were no fucking murders committed."
His attention was now drawn to Taehyung, who was still lying down calmly, not looking into his brother's eyes. "But if we didn't murder anyone, why are you getting all worked up?" He responded flippantly.
Namjoon chuckled in disbelief as he realized he was just playing a piece of music in front of a deaf man. He never intended to take part in his brother's dirty game, but he didn't have much choice. But what they're doing to Alani makes him feel quite disgusted with himself more than he did while playing the others.
Even Taehyung's mind was barraged with millions of thoughts, all of which were straying in different directions.
He had met Amy a few nights before— that was true, but he could bet his life that she held a beating heart in her chest when he left. He even had her wrapped around his tiny finger once more. He was still lost in a trance but Namjoon spoke again, his voice slightly raised, and his thoughts were disturbed.
"I need you tell me every single fucking thing that happened the night you met her."
Taehyung's brow furrowed slightly and he chuckled hesitantly, "No way bro." He replied to Namjoon as his thoughts returned to the night he met Amy for the final time.
Taehyung’s POV
I remember walking through a dark alley not far from the cafe. Amy had threatened to expose me because she suddenly felt guilty and wanted to be a good friend for once. But I couldn't let that happen soon now. I wasn't scared, but I was nervous, and my heart was picking up speed with each step I took. And I couldn't approach Namjoon for help. He'd snap at me once more and remind me how I'm wrong for involving him in this.
My white satiny shirt was suddenly irritating my neck, and even with the two buttons undone, I was hot.
I saw her — the devil herself — once I was deep enough in the dark alley, away from the clatter of crowds flying by. I had every reason to strangle her, but it would complicate matters which I'm not allowed to let happen, that was the only reason she got the privilege to take in another single stream of air after the day she started thinking that she had the upper hand.
She stood there, fiddling with the ring on her left hand while she got closer to me. "Taehyung." I tilted my head before raising an eyebrow at her, waiting for her to continue, as she whispered, her lips slightly open.
We'd reached the end of the alley, darkness had descended, and it was suddenly cold. The moon was the only source of light, and it was beautifully adorning her face, reminding me why I had kept her by my side for so long.
I knew threatening her wouldn't work, so I had to reverse course this time. As she continued to whine, I mentally drew an inverted triangle on her face. "I can tell she trusts me and even loves you from the way she talks about you. She adores you tremendously. And if she learns of our betrayal in any other way, she'll be devastated." Throughout the conversation, I shift my gaze, looking into one eye, then the other, then down to her lips, and back up to her oaky eyes. It's a simple technique for getting anyone on their knees while moving nothing but your eyes.
I smile, tilting just one corner of my lips before walking closer to her. I gently placed my index finger on her lips and gazed deeply into her eyes. "Calm down." I say softly as I bend down, the tip of my nose touching her earlobe before reaching her exposed shoulder.
My nostrils were tingled by the familiar vanilla scent, and my hands unknowingly moved to her waist. I could feel her breath shortening, but she wasn't stopping me.
I drew her in closer, leaving no space between us — not even for air to pass through. I moved my lips gently across her skin, from her collarbone to her jawline.
