Chapter 27

Just as we sat and I extended my hand toward the coffee mug, there was a ring at the door.

"Who can it be?" Taehyung asked himself more than me.

I shrugged my shoulder looking at him.

"I'll be right back babe." He said before pecking my lips.

I liked the affection but it was so sudden, he isn't the type to show his emotions much.

The kitchen was a bit far from the from the front door but I could hear the door open and slammed shut soon after. I was already trapped between the feeling of exhaustion and the hangover so I was lazy to lift my feet and check up on what's happening.

Suddenly a thud was heard from the outside, it sounded like someone punching the door. I panicked, what if someone hurted Taehyung? What if it was an intruder trying to get in?

And now I could hear a loud voice, actually two, one of a lady and one of tae. The lady's voice was oddly familiar.

I jumped out of my chair. I don't care if I'm half naked but I can't just sit. Panick was running in my veins as I took soft steps towards the living room. My eyes fell on the bat placed next to the sofa and i grabbed it quickly, it was my only weapon of defense.

It felt like I was in a cold storm, the voices outside rumbled like thunder but I couldn't make out what they were saying.

I didnt realized when tears started streaming down my face, i tasted the salty fear in my mouth but kept going closer to the door.

The moment I reached the door, I pushed it open and it swung open to reveal familiar figures, 2.

"Amy?" I stuttered, my voice shaky and weak from the fear still residing in my stomach.

Both, Taehyung and Amy looked at me in shock. Amy looked more frazzled than taehyung.

"What were you two arguing about?" I enquired.

The fear on Taehyung's face was replaced by a smile, just in a few seconds and came towards me. "Nothing babe." He started and held my hands, I was still holding the bat in my hand. "First put it down."

"Now tell me."

He chuckeled nervously, I could sense the tension. "She was here to take you to work but I said I could drop you off and she took it too serious."

Amy's face softened a bit, only after Taehyung's explanation. She seemed nothing like my best friend, she wouldnt even look me in the eyes.

"Amy go now, I'll drop her off."

"I'll go on my own, you guys dont need to." I frowned, I couldn't bring myself to believe them and rushed to the room, leaving them both alone.

Author's POV

"Couldn't you make up something?" Taehyung whispered to amy with a glare.

Amy was still trying to process what happened, she could've found out everything. "Why couldn't you tell me she was here?" Her voice trembled as tears pricked her eyes. "I cant lose my bestfriend cause of a stupid of game yours, you told me all this was for her own good but nothing makes sense."

"So what do you wanna do now? Tell her everything? Make her leave me?" Taehyung let out with an air of arrogance. "Sure go ahead, fine by me. She wasnt even mine to begin with so losing her won't be that tough. But-" He stopped and leaned closer to her face. "You'll lose your bestfriend. " He whispered close to her ear.
