Veronica had to have been asleep for at least two hours now. Just how stressed was she? Heather was the one who was attacked. There's no way she actually cared about what happened to her. Not after that argument.
By this point, Chandler found herself absentmindedly resting her hands on Veronica's head or shoulder depending on how she was feeling. She definitely didn't have the right to do such a thing, but she couldn't stop herself.
The blue heather's body tensed up and small groaning was heard.
In response to this, Heather tensed up as well. Was she finally awake?
"Heath... Heather?!" Veronica leaped off of Heather's lap and made quite a disrespectful face. Though, that quickly faltered when she heard Chandler squeak out an 'ow..' when she got off.
"Thank you!" Heather blurted, embarrassed. Her acrylic nails holding her mouth shut afterward. It was almost like it hurt to say that out loud.
She didn't get a 'you're welcome', but rather a stare. A confusing one at that. Ron's brown eyes were so fogged up at the front she had no idea what was behind them.
"Are we going to talk..." She finally replied.
"Can we talk over some food? Or a show? Anything?" Heather prayed in her head Veronica would say yes. This talk would be very hard to have head-on.
"Food then, if you really want to. I don't want any distractions. I've been waiting for this for a long time.."
Heather reflected on any interaction she has ever had with Veronica. Of course—to prove she wasn't gay!
She had an extra blazer made for her, she'd stare at her in junior year, she wasn't totally against having Veronica as a fake girlfriend, she didn't mind that much when Veronica saw her naked as she'd prefer that over JD, she secretly wanted to apologize to Veronica this entire time for storming off... oh shit.
Oh. Shit. Oh. Shit. Holy. Shit.
Drunk words are sober thoughts? What about drunk actions? Just what did Heather do that night? Was she secretly a raging homosexual when she was drunk?!
"I'll go make us some- ouch-" Heather was not going to make anything.
"Just rest, will you?" Veronica rolled her eyes and walked to the kitchen, "What do you want?"
"Bacon and eggs?"
"Okay."Yikes. Heather was in deep shit. It almost felt like a lover's quarrel... God what was she thinking? Just because she can almost accept she's gay doesn't mean she can immediately be happy she currently has a fake relationship with Vero. Vero? That was a... cute name...
"Hey Vero?" Time to test the waters; Can she use nicknames yet?
"What?" Before Heather could inwardly celebrate, "Wait, what did you just call me?"
"Veronica. I said Veronica?"
"Oh. Okay. It's hard to hear with the AC blaring."
"I can imagine."
"Whatever. What did you want?"
"I forgot, nevermind."
"Don't waste my time.."Tapping the couch, quite annoyed she couldn't get up, Heather waited patiently. Her stomach was doing kickflips and organized choreography. Her throat felt stuck on itself. For all the failures in her life, accepting this had to be one of the worst ones. She couldn't even deny it anymore. She wanted Veronica so bad. It was no wonder her drunk self was so thirsty.
When she looks at the 'chef' now, she can see beautiful cheekbones and round but still resting eyes. A beautiful button nose and very... kissable... lips.
"Heather? Why are you looking at me like that?" Veronica, unaware of the thoughts brewing about her, felt like prey being watched by a predator. Heather was very scary. She jumped slightly when Heather flinched and looked away.
