"Homecoming Party at Rams. You ladies can't miss this one, it's one of the biggest parties this year."
—
Boy, was Veronica not thrilled. She never understood being a "Heather" involved scheduled parties and popularity levels. All she wanted to was go to movie nights with Martha and study. It was a simpler lifestyle.
"Do I have to go?" Veronica questioned, well, whined. Heather McNamara was sitting in Veronica's room because she was ordered to help her with her clothes.
"You don't have a choice." She spoke in a frighteningly low tone, but had a warm smile on her face. It was really creepy. Veronica let her head twitch.
"O-okay." McNamara's hand flew up to her mouth,
"Oh! I'm sorry, I tend to blurt out my inner.. um.. Heather persona? .." She nervously laughed.
"Just the way I've been.." She trailed off and eventually shut down. It was kind of sad.
That party was tonight and Veronica has never drank in her life, period. What would she say to Heather? This was too much for the little twitchy like girl- no. Although she was timid, that's didn't mean she couldn't spit out some snarky remarks or she couldn't fight back.
Veronica was gonna have fun tonight whether she liked it or not. And she liked it. Mac continued to brush out each other's hair and fit up outfits. A "dumb blonde" could actually think a lot. The color coding idea came from her too. Veronica knew her color was blue, but she let her mind trail off.
Why did Heather Chandler have a blue blazer with her anyway?
Veronica, an outsider, was both complimented and dressed up my Heather Chandler in the same day. Sure she did a favor first, but some would pay good money to be stepped on by her! A "Heather-Chandler Veronica-Sawyer sandwich" was brought up and it straight up disgusted her. This hierarchy was bullshit and she wanted to demolish it, but she's a senior in high school, so who cares?
"Veronica? Ronnie? Veronica!" Mac violently shook her hand in front of Veronica's face. A tired, but worried look was what she wore.
"Oh-oh! Sorry, I must've been spacing out." The queen of awkward laughs put out. Veronica scratches the back of her head and just looked away.
"Well it's time to go, so you'd better come with me. We're all getting picked up in Heathers car." Mac grabbed Veronica's hand and rushed out.
"Um which o-"
"Hurry up losers!" A loud voice called, with her brows almost stuck together.
"We always show up late anyway.." Heather muttered. Yeah, why was Chandler so angry? Enough spacing out for Veronica today, she needed to worry about another strange situation with the Heathers. Where will she sit?
Duke was in the backseat, which surprised both Heather McNamara and Veronica, and it probably surprised Duke too. The front seat was empty which was even worse. Did Duke get on her nerves today or something?
"Sawyer, here." Heather snapped from the drivers seat and pointed impatiently to the front seat. Veronica looked around to see a confused Mac and Duke with a visible vain on her forehead.
She silently sat in the seat and stared at the floor, kicking her feet together. And on her life, she swore she heard Duke make a hmph sound. Her mind, constantly drifting around, trailed off onto the day after she became a Heather.
"No, this note will kill her!" Veronica shouted.
"What? It'll give her shower nozzle masturbation material for weeks!" Duke pitched in, but it wasn't helpful.
"Shut up Heather!"
"Sorry Heather."
"But no, you can't give this to her-" Chandler cut her off .
