Deuce Duels

Technically the Deuce duels wasn't in the Royal Flush Clash.Afterall the deuce wasn't a royal card.

But whenever a tie occured just like in tennis a deuce game occurs.

The deuces get to fight to determine who gets the grand prize.Not just the ones who tied but all the kingdoms get to fight.But it wasn't gonna matter after all such a large gap in points couldn't be filled in one match.

"Or can?" it thought John the Deuce Diamonds as he made his way in the labyrinth of caves in the underworld.Since the aces got a fight location in heaven like place Joker thought it 'fit' or rather just 'funny' to stick the deuces in hades.The underworld was their match was held.

It was dark,spooky with sulphurous fumes and volcanic magama erupting out of the ground.Needless to say John didn't like it.He was thankful he had his techno- armor to protect him.

This may be highly unpleasant but he had a plan.Not just a plan to go down swinging but a plan to win the grand prize.He had studied the rules and he knew they were simple.It said one point per opponent.All he needed to do was increase the number of opponents.He had checked in with the Joker and he knew just how to do that.

Rosemary the Deuce Clovers was the key.She had at least 7 souls in her body and if he can get her to release them and take them down.Each one he defeats would be counted as an opponent and he might win the grand prize.But it was a free for all.Anyone can win.He needed to find way to take care of the others.Kit the Deuce Hearts and Crow the Deuce Spades were uncertain variables.

Speak of the devil and he shall appear or rather think of the ninja and he shall appear will be more accurate.

An eruption came from the ground.John moved back and out of the steam Crow appeared.A millisecond later he had his dagger over John's neck.

"Too slow." Crow said."I can kill you before you even move."
"Cut that out." John said annoyed.
Crow withdrew his dagger and backed away."A little tense aren't you?" He said.

John sighed.Before the match had started Crow had come and offered to form an alliance with John.'Us low aura individuals have to stick together' he had said.

Indeed John didn't detect a large or normal amount of aura coming from Crow but perhaps b/c he suppressed it.He knew ninjas are good at staying undetected.Still he needed allies.His plan was hard to carry out and he could use any help he could get.Besides even tho the Ten and Jack matchs were relatively friendly the Queen and King matchs had severed Diamonds relationship with Hearts.Making allies in Spades might be a good idea.

John didn't like Crow tho.He talked friendly and all but he was a sneaky schemer.He couldn't trust him.And knights were noble,honourable warriors while ninjas were cheats, disloyal assassins.The two didn't go well together.But considering Crow was the one who told him about Rosemary he would work with him for the moment.

"Well did you find her?" He asked.
"Of course." Crow replied with a smile "Tho I'm surprised that a noble knight like you is working with a guy like me going after a frail defenceless little girl like her." Crow teased "Face it your no better than me."

John bit his lips.Crow knew where to hit him.But he knew Rose was not defenseless.In fact she might be the most powerful one here if she knew how to use her power properly.

He followed Crow and found her wandering the caves.The plan was to support Crow with fire while he fought her.

"Nah,I got this." Crow said as he rushed to fight Rose.She summoned balls of light magic in her right hand and balls of dark magic in her left.

She launched them all at him bit quicker than a whip he dodged them all by running along the walls and cave ceiling."A real bona fide ninja" John thought.His speed kinda reminded him of the king Hearts but while the king was honorable Crow wasn't.Ninja's were an unreliable sort.They were trained to be fast,skilled,silent and deadly.John knew Crow would betray him so he had to move first.
