A stranger sped through the desert.But he was not riding on a horse.He was running.Running faster than wind.Kicking dust into the air.A blur that can barely seen.He was heading to the town.
He wasn't a stranger either.He was Dane the Jack of Spades.And he had a mission.He would accomplish it no matter what and he will eliminate all that stood in his way.
La hire the Jack of Hearts was what stood in his way.He stopped when he saw his opponent waiting for him.
La hire was a magician.The greatest and most powerful magician in Cardasia or so he claimed.Technically his old master Merlin was the most powerful but considering he had left Cardasia to go explore new worlds like Chessia and Checkersia La hire had inherited his title of Magus Magnus.Well not inherited he was elected b/c of his charm and skill in showmanship.
His mission wasn't quite as serious as Dane's.He was here to put on a show.
The two stood facing eachother.No words were spoken.And then their duel started.
Dane rushed at Lahire.Two sickles fell from his sleeves into his palms.He had no intention of taking much time fighting.He was gonna finish this under a minute and move on.
Then La hire acted.In fact he had acted the moment he was beamed here.He had used the gem Hector gave him and inserted it at the top of his cane.
When Dane attacked he activated it's powers.The gem was a chronostone.It could control time and he used it to make himself fast.Still as Dane rushed at him much faster than he thought possible he had only just enough time to teleport himself away.
He appeared a short distance away.Dane rushed at him again and La hire teleported away again.
Dane considered this.This was a waste if time.He decided to go deal with the others first and then chase La hire down.
"Not so fast" La hire said.He activated the gems powers more and they were both engulfed in a green bubble."This is a timeless zone.Time moves slower here." He explained."In order to get out you need to smash this little gem here.That is if you could catch me.Wanna play tag?" He said.
Dane sped at him without answering.
'I'll take that as a yes.' La hire thought as he teleported within the bubble moving the bubble to make sure it contained both of them.
It was a fast game of tag.With Dane using superspeed and La hire using teleportation but by the end of it La hire had managed to lure Dane away from the town and deep into the desert.
Then he laughed."That was fun but how about we get to it now?" He asked.
"For my first act how about some stage tricks?" He said taking of his hat.
He pulled a rabbit from it and threw it at Dane.This would have been a pretty pathetic attack if the rabbit was ordinary.But it was no ordinary rabbit it was not a rabbit in fact.It was a Jackalope spirit.It transformed into a rabbit/deet hybrid and rushed at Dane.This beings could moved faster than lighting which is to be expected b/c they only breed during lightning flashes.And the rabbit also had deer antlers that could generate electricity almost like a certain famous Pokémon.
It's strong quick kicking legs, it's electric antlers and super adorable were all built to knockout anyone in a blink of an eye.It zoomed around Dane and attacked.
Dane went right through it using his scythe to split it in half.
"Juan!Noooo...!" La hire shouted.He knew spirit animals will just respawn and appear in his hat after some time but still he had grown attached to the little guy."What kind of jerk hurts a cute little bunny." He complained.
Dane ignored him.
"Ok next up." He raised his cane and a bunch of rings and daggers appeared all around Dane.The daggers shot at Dane but before he parried them they passed through the rings and disapeared."How will the illusive Dane deal with invisible daggers?" La hire asked dramatically.
