Diamonds VS Roc

John pressed a button on the ring he wore and immediately he was covered in a high-tech shining armor.He couldn't shield his body with aura so he knew he needed it.The armor was powered by the diamond in his ring but he could also change it's mode with d/t gemstones.The initial designs for the armour were his but he also received major upgrades from Hector.He sure hoped they were enough to beat the roc.

He opened the aircraft's hatch and walked onto it's upper surface.The speed and wind would have knocked him of if it wasn't for his magnetic boots.He looked around carefully.'Now where did that bird go.' he thought.

He wished he hadn't asked b/c immediately a piercing cry was heard and an even more piercing barrage of sharp feather's hit him from behind.His armor withstood but just barely.Cracks appeared on it.He was knocked off balance and almost skidded of the craft.Fortunately he managed to get a grip.'Sneaky bird' he thought.

The bird arced through the air and returned for another attack.This time however he was ready for it.He raised his right arm and stretched it making a fist.A laser shooter popped from the armors gauntlets.His glasses scanned the bird looking for it's weak points.He couldn't kill it but he didn't have to.He only needed to damage one of it's wings and it will fall out of the sky like a rock.

He aimed carefully charged his shooter with energy.He knew if he missed he was as good as dead.His armor won't withstand another volley.Just as the bird entered his range he fired.He didn't miss but apparently he underestimated the bird's defenses.The laser didn't make a dent.The feather projectiles came at him.
'I'm dead' he thought.He closed his eyes waiting for the impact.It never came.He opened his eyes the feathers were imbedded in a circular shield that appeared in front of him.Puzzled he looked sideways and saw Catherine.She must have conjured them with her magic he realized.

For a second he was grateful to her but then she opened her mouth and the feeling passed.
"I knew you couldn't be trusted with something this important" she said arrogantly."Let me show you how it's done."she added as she conjured more circles with spikes at their edges. Catherine wheels.They appeared and hovered around her.She started spinning them and shot them at the roc before John could warn her.They shattered on the roc's feathers and as the roc flew toward her claws out.

Quickly John tackled her.The roc's claws tore a giant gash where she had been and he rolled into it with her.Hopefully the roc won't be able to see them and will think he got them.

"What" Cat muttered confused.One time she was standing(well floating on one of her wheels and keeping up with aircraft's speed) confidently and the next she was in a tight hole with John on top of her.Talk about embarrassing.
"Get off" she shouted her voice a high pitch.
"Shhh" John replied.We don't want it to know we're here.It's feathers are harder than steel.Direct attacks won't work on it.Better we hide here and make a plan"

"Uh hu" was all she could manage.He was so close it was distracting.She hated being in tight dark places but him being there made her forget all about her crippling claustrophobia.'No' don't think anything she chided herself.'Your a princess he's a peasant.'
"This is all your fault" she accused trying to regain her composure.

"Ehh..how exactly is that sentence accurate" he replied annoyed.

"Well...em" she started.She had worried about him facing the roc alone and came to help.But even tho she saw it resist John's attack she had pridefully thought her's will be better.So it was sorta her fault to but her pride wouldn't allow her to say that.So instead she went with her default comeback and said.
"This wouldn't happen if you were a better bodyguard!You can't even fight with aura and magic."
It was sorta mean hanging that over him again and again specially since he was sensitive about it but she couldn't think of anything else to say.Nevertheless she didn't expect his response.
