Chapter Eighteen : Back to school

Monday 6th January 1986

I was 15 weeks pregnant now and I was starting to show, thanks to Jason's goons the whole school knew but they also knew about what Chrissy and Jason did to me so they was on the fence about bullying me.

Me and Eddie pulled up to the school and headed for English, holding hands again because I don't know since everything it was nice to hold his hand again at school, this isn't even my first day back since Christmas break it's my first day back since I was out in the hospital.

Me and Eddie were sat at the back but Gareth called him over to sit next to him as they had a band meeting to sort, I nodded and he left after kissing my forehead. 20 minutes into the class and a familiar girl walks in with Robin. I waved at Robin who waved back she said something to the teacher and he nodded she waved bye as did I and the teacher spoke "this is our newest student Rose Lambton" he said as he scanned around the room I looked over at Eddie who had frozen his eyes jolting between me and Eddie and that's when I realised, that was the girl he was fucking Christmas Eve, I let out a small laugh and the teacher looked over "y/n! There's a seat next to you, Rose go sit with y/n she's missed a few weeks of school so you'll be able to study and catch up together" I smiled as did she and she walked over "hi I'm Rose!" She said putting her hand out "hi I'm
y/n" I took her hand and shook it.

"Soo I heard there's a pregnant girl" she laughed, I gave her a strange look "oh no I didn't mean anything rude by it, I just thought it was a rumour" she quickly backed herself up. "It's fine, it's me I'm the pregnant girl and he over there (y/n points at Eddie) is the dad" I laugh as Rose looked over to see Eddie. "Oh my god you're the girl who turned up Christmas Eve" she said shooting her head wound "that would be me yes! Don't worry we're not together if you wanna get with him, we had a one night stand and that's what happened." I laughed as I waved over to Eddie who waved back. "He looks really freaked out" she said laughing. "You should wave too freak him out even more" I laughed so she did she waved and he waved back even more freaked. We both burst into laughter. "Let me see your schedule" I said so she hands me her schedule.

"We're in every class together apart from science! We should totally sit next to each other" I smiled. "Are you sure I did sleep with your baby dad and we've just met" she started rambling "trust me you'll fit in fine with my friend group, plus it'll really freak out Eddie so that's a plus" we both laughed and she agreed. Class ended and we walked to maths together. When Eddie came and grabbed me "y/n, need a word?" He said looking at me then Rose. "Can it wait? We have class" I said looking at him. "Yeah that's fine" he said looking as I linked arms with Rose and we walked off to class.

*time skip to lunch*

"So my best friends are Steve Harrington and Robin Buckley, I hang out with them a lot so you can always join" I said smiling "Robin? She's the girl who brought me to class today right?" She said trying to remember. "Yeah she is! She's awesome ain't she?" I laughed. We walked into the cafeteria and went to the line to grab some food. "Okay school is usually boring but you make it fun" she said whilst pointing out the sandwich she wanted.

"Thank you it's my life's dream to make people settle into school" I laughed which made her laugh. I scanned the room for Robin when I see her at the hellfire table "weird" I mumbled as I took Rose over to the table, "new member?" Gareth said staring at Rose, you could see him blushing which made Rose blush. "Yeah new member" I teased as I let Rose sit next to Robin and I went to sit next to Eddie.

"What she doing here?" Eddie whispered into my ear whilst everyone got to know her. "She's nice, we're friends" I whispered back taking a bite into my sandwich. He looked so annoyed at that statement it made me wonder what was actually going on between them, Eddie put his arm around my waist and pulled me into him which made Rose annoyed, I just dismissed it and carried on.

My last lesson was science so me and Robin walked together "something weird is going on between Rose and Eddie" said said as stopped at her locker to get her science books "tell me about it. That was the girl he slept with on Christmas Eve but even I could see that wasn't the only problem" I said rolling my eyes as we walked into science. We sat at the far table in the back so we could still talk about the situation because something was unsettling.

"I swear to god if she's another Chrissy I may just move back to London" I rolled my eyes. "I'll join you and so will Steve trust me we're sick of it too" she rolled her eyes and we carried on with lesson. I walked out into the hallway with Robin and we see Eddie and Rose standing extremely close her hand on his chest and his on her waist "guess we have our answer" Robin chuckled which made me chuckle "guess we gotta ruin the fun Robin! What do you say? Be the Robin to my Batman?" I laughed which made her laugh "of course let's go" we walked up to Eddie and Rose "hey Lovers, sorry to break it up but I'm going to family video with Robin and Steve so I don't need a lift" I told Eddie completely ignoring Rose. He nodded as I turned to Rose. "Isn't he the best!" I smiled as me and Robin walked off. "Is it me? Am I the problem?" I sarcastically asked Robin "noo course not" she said back sarcastically which made us burst out into laughter when we got to Steve's car.

"Y/n! My favourite girl! How are you?" Steve asked as we got into the car "we have gossip" Robin said and I started laughing again.

"Wait so Eddie and Rose? After he told you he loved you? You're still carrying his baby and he's holding other girls waists infront of you?!" Steve was still trying to make sense of it "pretty much yeah" I say as I jumped up on the counter failing a few times till Steve helps me. "Wait y/n get under the counter I see Eddie and rose lets trick him" Robin said I laughed quickly jumped down and hid in the gap under the counter where he couldn't see.

"Hey guys, where's uh y/n?" Eddie asked as he was looking around for me. "Oh she's out on a date I believe?" Steve said looking at Robin. "Yeah she got picked up by this what's his name? Quite tall and muscled?" Robin said pretending to think of a name. "David!" Steve exclaimed. 'Fucking David?' I thought to myself trying not to laugh.

"She went on a date whilst pregnant with my baby?! No she would have told me!" He started getting angry which just made it funnier. "Yeah it was spur of the moment, he came in and see her they spoke for a few minutes then she left with him" Steve shrugged his shoulders 'make me sound like a whore much?' I thought to myself. "She's pregnant with my baby!" Eddie got completely angry. "Come Eddie you said you wasn't even sure if it was yours" Rose said trying to calm him down which made Steve and Robins face drop and made me super angry.

They both left and I come back up. "NOT EVEN SURE IF IT WAS HIS?!" I yelled smacking my fist into the counter. "What the fuck" Robin and Steve said at the same time. "I HAVE ONLY SLEPT WITH HIM THE DICKHEAD! IF I WAS GOING TO FAKE A DAD I WOULDN'T FAKE HIM!" I yelled getting even more angry, as Steve pulled me in for a hug and I burst out into tears "what is WRONG WITH HIM" I yelled into Steve's chest. Him and Robin played with my hair and rubbed my back.

They locked up the store and took me home "guess I'm keeping up with this David charade" I rolled my eyes as I walked in to see none other the Eddie and Rose on my sofa "who let you in?" I tilted my head in confusion. "Dustin" rose said calmly. "Well if you could kindly get out? He's a minor and shouldn't be letting people in the house without mine or mums knowledge." I gave Dustin a death stare and he mouth 'sorry' "where was you tonight y/n?!" Eddie demanded to know. "And how is that any of your business?" I looked at him dead in the eye.

"Whose David?" Rose asked calmly. What the fuck is she? His guard dog? Piss off. "David? Is none of your business, please leave my house before I call the police" I say opening the front door for them to leave. Rose left and so did Eddie but before he did "is the baby even mine y/n?" I looked him dead in the eye "the fact you asked that just means you don't want it to be" I slammed the door in his face and stormed to my room. I'm 19 and 15 weeks pregnant isn't my life hell enough?

I dialled Steve who was luckily enough with Robin when I called and told them EVERYTHING that went down. They couldn't believe it either. Who was they to turn up to my house and say that to my face.
