The next thing I knew, the school year flew past.
During Christmastime, we were allowed to go home. Evelyn's family came over to my house, and we had a big Christmas dinner, during which Evelyn's dad and my mum revealed to us that they were seeing each other.
That obviously got us amped up, thinking we could possibly be sisters.
On New Year's Eve, the entirety of the Year 12's got to go on a trip to Trafulgar Square, to celebrate the new year, and the starting of our final months in Year School.
Louis and I shared an adorable New Year's kiss.
For Easter, Louis and I went to a rabbit sanctuary, where we got to play with rabbits. It was possibly the best date ever.
And as each day went by, my relationship with Louis grew stronger.
We celebrated every anniversary by going on a picnic, to honor how we started going out in the first place. We always used the same picnic blanket.
Soon enough, the last day of school was here.
Evelyn and I had packed up our dorm, and once it was empty, the sight was so upsetting that we wept. Our days at this school would never be matched.
On the last day, all of our classes were halved, and in all of them, we just watched movies, and ate snacks which were handed out by teachers.
I wasn't too shaken up about leaving, because Louis also lived in Glasgow. That meant we could see each other often. Unfortunately, Aidan lives in Australia. Evelyn was quite distressed, and didn't know if trying long distance would work.
But they would try.
And now, Louis and I sit in Velvet Touch, at the airport, waiting on our flight back home. It's July 15th. Evelyn is ordering our food, and Louis and I sit and chat.
"The place where we first met." he says, after looking around for a while.
I smile sadly. I hate that this is coming to an end. It feels like it went by so quickly. I wish I could put the school and my memories into a jar, and keep them sealed tight forever. But I know I can't.
Evelyn returns, and we quickly eat and board the flight.
Louis and I sit together, holding hands. He's watching a movie, and I'm looking out the window, trying to cling on to all the memories I can.
Louis pauses his movie and squeezes my hand. "Don't be upset. It'll be okay."
I turn to look at him and smile sadly. "I know. I just didn't think our time would ever come to an end, and now it has."
He purses his lips together and frowns. He holds my hand a little tighter, and for the last 30 minutes of the flight, we sleep a sound and dreamless sleep.
As soon as the flight lands, we head to pick up our luggage, and then make our way outside. Even though we live near, I still have to say goodbye to Louis. And I was dreading it.
When we exited the airport, I saw Evelyn's dad's familiar car. He was picking both of us up, and we were going to my house.
I turned to Louis, and he was looking at another car, parked not far from Evelyn's. It was silver, but the driver was not in the car. I look back at my ride and realize that Evelyn's dad isn't in the car either.
I spot him not far from the car, talking to another man happily. Louis spots the other man, and says "Oi! That's my dad!"
Puzzled, we walk over to them, and I say hello.
"This is Y/N, dad." Louis says, beaming.
His dad looks at me with warm eyes. "Hello, Y/N." he puts his hand out to shake, which I tak with a smile. "I've heard much about you." he says, and Louis turns red.
"Ah, so this is Louis Partridge." Evelyn's dad says. "I've also heard much about you." he puts his hand out to Louis, also for him to shake.
"Your dad and I used to be best mates in Year School." he continues, and my eyes widen. Louis smirks, and Evelyn blurts out an "Aw!"
"We should get going, Rob. We'll see you soon, most likely." Louis' dad says, and he nods a quick bye to Evelyn and I.
I walk up to Louis and give him a tight hug and a kiss, and whisper "See you soon, Louis." in his ear.
"See you soon, darling."
