"Micah, why do you have to leave tomorrow out of all days?" Kayla said whining.
"Kayla you know I have no choice, jplus I'll be gone for 3 days it's not THAT long." Micah reassured Kayla.
The next day

"Class we have a new student joining us today!"
Ms. Brown said. *the new kid walks into the classroom*
"Her name is Juliana and she just moved here from LA California." The teacher told the class. "Juliana if you could go ahead and sit next to Kayla that would be great!" *Kayla raises her hand to show Juliana where she was supposed to be sitting* Ms. Brown patted Julianas back as she walked away to go sit down.
The girl made her way down the row to sit down when Kayla noticed that EVERYONE was staring at the new girl. Kayla could agree the new girl was pretty attractive but she wouldn't say that straight to her face ESPECIALLY on her first day at school.
*Juliana sits down next to Kayla* "hi my name is Kayla." Kayla said. "Oh I'm Juliana, nice to meet you." Juliana said. "Nice to meet you too." Said Kayla.
"Alright class happy Friday and all that good stuff but I have some good news and bad news." "The bad news is we have a project to do but the good news is that you have 3 days to do it and you get to pick a partner. Also this is a project about a fictional/si-fi topic such as vampires or aliens so this could be a very fun project to work on!"
The class cheered and began to pick their partners.
"Everyone will get to pick a topic so everyone need to have a different topic so choose your partner wisely."
Kayla sighed I am literally going to stab Micah when he gets back I'm going to~ her thoughts we're interrupted by Juliana when she turned to Kayla and asked "since you don't have a partner would you like to be my partner?" Kayla said yes and smiled at Juliana.
Later that day

"Hey your name is Kayla right?" Juliana said while jogging towards the girl
"Uhm yea that's me Kayla what's up?"
"Well I was thinking about this whole fictional/si-fi project and I was thinking we could to a project on vampires." Juliana said.
"Oh ok I was thinking we could do a project on aliens but vampires will work." Said Kayla
"Alright uh can I get you number please?" Juliana asked.
"Oh you want my number now?" Kayla said while smirking.
Juliana widened her eyes and said "y-yes not in that kind of way just just for the project ya know?" Juliana looked down at her feet to try to hide the pink tinting her face.
"Alright kid you can have my number lemme write it down one sec" Kayla said while pulling out a small piece of paper and pen. *hands Juliana number* "don't loose it." Kayla said. "Ok I won't loose it. I'll talk to you later." Juliana said while running away.
A few hours later

Kayla was sitting at her desk doing homework when he phone next to her buzzed
Unknown
Hey is this Kayla?
It's Juliana.
Kayla
Yea it's Kayla.
Juliana
Ok cool so my parents said
you can come over to work
on the project whenever you
want.
Kayla
Alr I'll go ask my
parents brb
Juliana
Kk
While Juliana was waiting for Kayla to respond her mom walked into her room. "Does anybody at school know about you being a vampire?" Her mom said while sitting on Julianas bed.
"No a few people stared at me but no one confronted me or anything" Juliana shrugged
"Ok I just wanted to make sure. I didn't wanna have to have you move schools again."
"Yea that other school was CRAZY! Everyone was way too observant they found out the 3rd day of school." Juliana laughed.
"Yea. Has your partner for the project communicated with you yet?" Julianas mom asked.
"Uhm yea actually she's asking her parents if she can come over to work on the project right now." Juliana said
"Ooh ok I can't wait to meet her. So uh do you like anyone at school?" Julianas mom asked
"Mommmm why are you so nosyy??" Juliana whined
"Hey I just wanna know." Julianas mom shrugged
"Well... there is somebody but I'm sure she doesn't like me back." Juliana said in a sad tone
"Well who is it?" Julianas mom said with her eyebrows raised.
Juliana didn't even have to say anything when her mom figured out that Juliana liked her science partner Kayla
Julianas mom sat there in shock for a few minutes when she broke the scilence "so Kayla.. is she human or is she like us?"
"Uhm as far as I know she's human so that's another reason I have no chance with her." Juliana said while looking down at the ground.
"Ok well I'll leave you alone for now let me know if Kayla is coming I would love to meet your crush." Julianas mom said
"Ok mom you can go now!" Juliana said while blushing
A few minutes after her mom left Julianas phone buzzed.
Kayla
Okay good news or
bad news first?
Juliana
Oh no uhmm good news first
Kayla
Ok so my parents are
fine w me coming to
your house.
Juliana
Oh ok great. What's the bad
news?
Kayla
Well the bad news is
they don't want you
coming to my house
so we'll have to do the
project at your house
only.
Juliana
Oh ok that's fine.
When do you wanna
start the project?
Kayla
I was thinking at 12
tomorrow we could
meet up at the melting
pot and then walk to
your house.
Juliana
Ok sounds good!
