It was around 7:00pm. The pair were at their date for 1 hour and 30 minutes at this point but that didn't matter because they were having a great time, laughing and talking...

"This is nice" Kayla let out a sigh and sipped her drink.

"It is...I'm glad you got the confidence because I sure as he'll didn't" Juliana smiled and gazed at Kayla

"Well you should really thank Micah he told me you liked me- i mean he didn't tell me he inferred that you did-" Kayla rambled into her words

"Oh he did now huh?" Juliana raised her eyebrows, "Oh I'm gonna beat him-"

"Excuse me! Waitress! Can we have our check please?" Kayla interrupted Juliana. The same waitress from before came by and smiled skeptical about Juliana.

"Of course kids!" She nodded and walked away.

"Thanks for walking me home Juli, you didn't have too." Kayla nudged Julianas shoulder.

"No problem, I mean after all you are my date sooo..." Juliana shrugged and kept walking.

"Yea yea I know." Kayla laughed while awkwardly rubbing her elbow

As she went to release her hand from her elbow she felt something brush against her hand...that something was Julianas hand. She felt her fingers drag across the top of hers and make their way through them, interwining their hands together.

They walked in a comfortable scilence holding eachothers hands.

They reached Kaylas house and Kayla quickly released their hands.

"Thanks for everything. Uhm see you later." Kayla opened her door but Juliana stopped her

"Wait-" Juliana turned her around and leaned in placing a quick kiss on her cheek. Kayla blushed and smiled shyly.

"See you later." Juliana smiled and waved away.

Kayla grinned happily and walked into her house.

She turned to the kitchen and saw bottles of empty alcohol on the counter.

Her mom was home.
