After she told Deacon everything he drove away in his car because Trey came outside with Treyvon. Rose took Treyvon out of his hands and put him back to sleep. She went back to her bedroom and Trey was sitting against the headboard. "So are we going to talk about that. Like I get that he is your friend but he looked like he could kill you." he said concerned. Rose changes into her night clothes and she gets in the bed. "First things first, He is my best friend and he wouldn't touch me. Let alone kill me." she says "I don't care what he is, Rose. When a man is in that state of mind you don't just stand there. He could have really hurt you." Trey says laying down while looking at her.
"babe, listen he wouldn't, okay. I know you haven't really gotten the chance to get to know him but trust me because I trust him with my life. Now go to sleep." She says kissing him and laying down in his arms. Trey isn't okay with this but decides to let it be for now.
Next day at work:
Rose has spent the whole day doing paper work for the Spencer case.
Rose has closed the Spencer case and is now on her way to tell the captain. She hands him the file and he read it in silence. It was the school that covered his murder up. Steffy and Leon saw the body and left but they told their headmistress. The school confessed when they heard of Leon's arrest. "So that 's it?" He asks. "I know you wanted to catch a big fish or something before you retire but the Spencers won't be that fish. They are innocent." She says gathering the files once again. "Are you sure Detective, Because the evidence says otherwise. Did they get to you? I know Leon isn't in that prison. I gave you an order to put him there, yet you disobeyed why?" He asks. "Well the evidence is wrong, you asked me to work this case because I wasn't afraid of the consequences. Well I worked on it. I had all of them under interrogation, I even arrested not one but two of them but innocent is innocent. So, with all due respect boss find yourself another big fish to catch or a hobby because this case is officially closed." She says while walking away.
Rose drives to the safe house where Leon is at. She sends the officers home. When she walks inside she sees Leon sitting down on the couch. "Are you ready to go home?" She asks.
Leon stands up and looks at her. "What? I was sure I was going to jail. Let's be realistic I know the school is responsible, but we did keep it a secret al those years. I'm pretty sure that in your lawbooks that makes me an accomplice to the crime." He says. "Just take the win, Okay. Let's get you home. There is someone waiting for you." Rose says opening the door revealing her bike. She hands him a helmet. "No RV this time." He says grinning and takes the helmet. "Nah this seems more like your style." She says getting on the bike. When they get to his house Deacon is already waiting. They have a cup of tea together while Leon tells them a memory. Deacon and Rose share a few glances: She knows they are okay now, there are no words needed. She leaves to go home but decides to make one last stop.
