"We revisit old feeling for the same reason we re-read books - comfort in words familiar even though we know the endings . . ."

Eliwa's POV

What makes us human?

From a young age, my parents told me to remember this one thing, "Eliwa, in this world there are only two people you need to be afraid of, one is the artist, and the other one is the criminal, both are forcing the world to change their flawlessness."

In the past, I used to be an artist, change the world in my way step by step, but now even though I became a criminal, I still was proud of my achievement, I know it was wrong what I did, but Qihe never forgot to tell me I was like Robin Hood, stealing from the rich to give to the poor.

When I was younger I used to believe the world was perfect, and as long as I kept that as a chant it would be someday, but it was a huge lie . . .

"Hey, don't drown in your thoughts," Qihe said, a serious undertone in his teasing manner while he placed his jacket over me, and that was when I realized I had been shivering a bit, so I gave him a small smile, looking in the camera.

"Your ideas are always horrible, but I must admit, you overdid yourself this time," I said, giggling behind my hand while Qihe smiled, looking to the screen where Fanxing, a boy Qihe found bruised in a small alleyway, we had been taken care of him for a few years already, and he's always so obedient and sweet.

Yet for a few years, he'd been living with Jiyang to give him a better environment to live in, and honestly, I did not expect it to be this big.

Fanxing was tugging at Zhan's leg, crying, whaling and screaming to the girl; Hanna, saying she's a witch and that Zhan is already married, and I tried to stifle back a burst of laughter but couldn't help myself.

"My father loves my daddy more than he loves me." Fanxing pouted before continuing, "so don't you dare to hurt them you beldame*!" Hanna glared at Fanxing while I saw how bodyguards were about to come up, but Fanxing only started to cry harder while Zhan was frozen in shock.

"I guess you gave a heart attack to that little one," I said, chuckling.

"Which little one? They're both babies." Qihe laughed, poking my cheek while I frowned, Tracer came into the image, no one recognized him, of course, they didn't, after all, they hadn't seen our faces in years, for the outside world we were dead.

Zhan's eyes widened while Yibo went to Fanxing, wanting to pick him up when he suddenly screamed, "FATHER, THAT WITCH WANNA TAKE DADDY AWAY!" Fanxing pouted, now holding on both of their legs, one side Tracer, the other side Zhan and sitting on the ground, sulking.

I saw how a blush red appeared on Tracer's face and both Qihe and I fell into a burst of laughter when it happened, behind them on the big screen that was made for purpose of the wedding a video appeared.

"Bo di, I love you," Zhan said, nuzzling his nose against his neck while Tracer smiled, his hand playing into Zhan's hair before he pecked Zhan's lip, "I love you too my brave Zhan ge."

And then they shared a passionate kiss for some minutes, making the audience gasps, some of their mouth hanging wide open while Tracer placed a hand in front of Fanxing's eyes who was enjoying the whole scene and clapping his hands in joy.

"THIS IS INAPPROPRIATE, OUR YIBO WOULD NEVER FALL FOR A MAN, HE WAS FORCED TO, right Zhan Zhan?" I saw how miss Xiao put on her fake doe eyes and glancing to Zhan, who in his turn looked at Tracer, helplessly, and I was internally praying.

"Calm down, Eliwa, trust fate a bit." I hit Qihe's shoulder, my heart beating rapid as if I was standing in Zhan's place.

"I am really sorry mom, but I was never the perfect boy you tried to make of me, I love Bo di, the one you tried to kill, and I am happy you did not succeed because I love him, more than anything else." And with that Zhan pulled Yibo's frozen shocked face with his hands, cupping it before tipping on his toes to connect their lips.

The audience once again gasped just as I did, making Qihe behind me chuckle, "it's almost a soap drama, isn't it?" I glared at Qihe before returning my attention back to them.

I was just on time to see how Zhan got slapped by mister Xiao, both his parents glaring deadly at him while Hanna cried, muttering words like a chant under her breath, Tracer holding Zhan closely in an embrace and Fanxing who was still holding onto both their legs finally stood up, walking towards the Xiao couple, hitting their legs hard.

"You are such an ugly aunty and have no right to talk to my daddy, and you are an ugly old man who has no right to hit my daddy!" Fanxing quickly ran back to Tracer and Zhan while I looked sideways at Qihe, where was the video?

"We need to trust Lily," Qihe said, holding my hand, squeezing it lightly and I nodded, if Lily wanted to wait with showing evidence we should continue to wait.

And almost as if heaven heard my prayer the screen went on again, a new video on display . . .

"Finally we can get rid of those royalties, no one who would suspect us," the younger version of miss Wang said on the video, laughing devilishly while mister Xiao smiled as awfully.

"Those royalties are nothing more than stupid, and we would seize their place-" The video went on, but my mind was blank, cold tears rolling down my face.

"Shh, you're not alone anymore." Qihe embraced me, holding me softly while stroking my hair while my tears of all those years finally spilt, finally this all could be brought back to rest, my parents, Qihe's parent and younger sister, Tracer's parents, Lily's parents, it would finally all end.

And when I calmed down I saw how the Wang couple was held in handcuffs by Haoxuan, who looked right into the camera with a wink, and for a second I thought I imagined it if it wasn't for Qihe's light chuckle.

He suddenly laid back, spread on the grass while he laughed, an empty laugh filled with grieve before he spoke up, "it took us 13 years, 13 years of revenge, and all that bloodbath, humanity only cares for money, they killed my beloved sister who never did anything wrong except for believing in humanity, I loved her, I would have sacrificed my life for her if I could've, why her . . . ?" His last words were nothing more than a murmur.

Perhaps we all carried grieve of those painful memories, but finally, it ended and we could settle down in a normal pattern, and maybe we can start another life, and leave our old ones behind us.

Without my own notice I laid down next to Qihe, letting out a deep sigh, pulling the camera towards me, glancing at it, and I saw the assassins who started all this bloodbath for money in handcuffs, a couple who held a dear child in their arms, keeping up a gentle smile, a crying bride who assumed she finally caught the love of her life and a big audience who were still not recovered from the shock.

And for the first time since my parents died I felt some kind of peace settling down inside my chest, I felt tired, extremely exhausted, only seeking sleep, so I yawned, and next to me I saw how Qihe yawned too, and perhaps we could finally have a peaceful night of sleep without those disturbing nightmares of pain, blood and loss . . .
