SHIP: JOHNNY X DALLY

-

Johnny Cade had his face on a pillow in his room, crying. It was like a better version of his room, a good void. He didn't know where he was, he only knew he had been crying since he got there. He sat there, alone.

All of a sudden, he heard a knock at his door. That never happened before. He went over and unlocked the door, and there he stood. Dallas Winston.

Johnny stood there in shock, he didn't know how Dally got there, or even where 'there' was.

"D-Dally..?" Johnny was already in tears, this just invited more.

"Yeah, 's me, pet." Dally smiled lightly at him.

Johnny noticed his blood-ridden sweater and jumped back.

"How did-?" He started.

"Don't even ask... I'ont think it's a very good story." He put his left hand in his pocket, his right one going up to caress Johnny's cheek.

Johnny immediately put his face forward into Dally's hand.

"If I din't know any better, I'd say we were dead." Dally looked around at the empty void filled with Johnny's stuff.

Johnny forced a laugh, he'd been thinking that exact thing for a long time. Dally entered his room, and all of a sudden, Johnny's single bed had become a queen bed. The two lay down on the bed, covering themselves in blankets. Dally propped himself up on the pillows so Johnny could lie on his chest.

"So... dead, huh?" Johnny held back tears.

"Yeah, I think so." Dally started to pet Johnny's hair.

Johnny curled up into a ball under the blankets.

"I died in the hospital, din't I?" Johnny asked.

"Yeah, y'did..." Dally sighed, "Got shot by the fuzz."

"Did'ya fight back?"

"Life wasn't worth living without you 'round." Dally put his arm around Johnny's torso to pull him in closer. "You were the one thing I ever truly cared about. The one thing I ever loved."

Johnny kept quiet as tears streamed down his face. Dally knew that Johnny would never judge him, so he let himself cry too.

"Oh geez, Dal," Johnny lifted his head once he noticed Dally had been crying too. "'M so sorry."

"Y'got nothin' to be sorry 'bout, pet. We're together again, 's all I care about." Dally stared into Johnny's eyes.

Johnny leaned in to kiss him. Dally's hand instinctively raised to Johnny's cheek as they kissed. Dally felt a tear fall down Johnny's cheek. He wiped it off.

"I love you, my Dallas," Johnny mumbled, barely pulling away from the kiss.

"I love you too, my Johnny," Dally replied.

Peace, at last.
