"I'll never get tired of looking at these." Will said, examining Eddie's D&D figurines.

"Look all you want Byers, I'm very proud of my collection." Eddie bowed his head.

"What's this one?" Will asked, picking up another figure.

"That one's mine! I had it custom made, Eddie's a master of these things." Dustin smiled enthusiastically.

"I love it so much!" Will said, smiling back at them.

A beat.

"So," Will continued, breaking eye contact with Dustin and turning back to Eddie, "Do you think you could make one for me?"

Eddie stared at Will with a suspicious eye.

"Totally! Let's go talk about it over here." Eddie answered, taking Will over into a corner away from the rest of the party.

"So what did you want to-?"

"You like 'em, don't you?" Eddie said smugly, folding his arms across his chest.

Will's eyes widened as if he'd been caught in a lie.

"What?" He replied.

"You like Dustin, I can tell." Eddie cocked his head.

"That's impossible, I don't like Dustin, what are you even talking about?" Will dismissed Eddie's accusations.

Eddie wasn't having it. He inhaled deeply and re-crossed his arms with a now more accusatory look.

"I- okay fine, maybe a little." Will sighed.

Eddie pumped his fist celebratorily and mumbled something that sounded like 'fucken knew it'.

"When did you know? C'mon, spill." Eddie interrogated him.

"I don't- Ugh." He sighed again. "Halloween of '84. The kids wouldn't stop taunting me and calling me 'Zombie Boy' and Dustin let me have their candy and let me stay over and watch movies with them. That's when I knew." Will confessed.

Eddie smirked triumphantly.

"But- Look. I don't- I don't wanna mess up our friendship. We've been best friends for years and I don't wanna mess that up over a stupid crush."

"Alright, whatever you'd like. But just saying, I can use my DM skills for good." Eddie offered, raising his hands defensively.

"Maybe.. I'm just worried because I really value their friendship but also.. I kinda feel more than that? I don't know it's kinda silly." Will said.

"It's not silly, believe me. It's much less embarrassing than the guy I've got my eye on."

"Really?" Will looked surprised, "Who would that be?"

"Promise not to laugh?"

"I'm not gonna promise anything."

"Harrington." Eddie scratched his head tentatively.

"Oh wow, yeah I never would have- Really?" Will gave Eddie a judging look.

"Hey, I told you it was embarrassing." Eddie said. "Buuut he's got his charms."

Will laughed a bit, making Eddie laugh too.

"The party always told me you were awesome, but they failed to mention just how awesome." Will said.

"Aww, thanks kiddo. Now, they'll get suspicious if we keep talking much longer." Eddie pat his shoulders and guided them back to the party.

Will was clearly nervous to talk to Dustin again after Eddie, a guy he'd only known for about two hours, figured out his crush on his best friend since childhood. Mike had been bickering with some guy over something and it seemed like a not so great idea to talk to him, so Will went over and introduced himself to a few other Hellfire members. The rest of the night was spent making new memories with new friends.
