Pluto and Venus sat on the bed in Venus' room. They had a big fight beforehand and knew what was about to happen.

"I can't, I'm sorry." Pluto whispered, tears in his eyes. "I don't want to be around this family anymore, it's far too toxic!"

Venus tried to pat him on the back, but his hand was swatted away. "I'm sorry, Pluto," he sighed, "I'm trying..."

"No offence, but what is 'trying' doing right now?" Pluto snapped, immediately regretting and apologizing for his harsh tone.

"I know, I'm sorry." Venus apologized once more. He felt the salty water leak out of his eyes.

"Apologizing is getting us nowhere Venus!" Pluto sobbed silently. "Pardon my french, but I can't fucking be around your family anymore. It's making you a mess and when you're a mess I can't do anything about it and it hurts the both of us." Pluto got his stuff and walked out of their house.

Just like usual, Venus was left with nothing.

He felt the tears swelling up around his eyes, if he simply blinked once, they'd stream down his face. Venus hated this feeling; the feeling of being alone. Knowing Pluto wasn't there when he needed him most. Venus supposed it was fair, seeing as his dysfunctional family was ruining their relationship... or was it Venus?
