Miles across a vast prairie land - stout, burly trees surrounded two hedgehogs who were at war with each other.
All that could be heard from the two hedgehogs were their heavy, exasperating breaths as they were covered in ample amounts of cuts and lacerations, insinuating that the two hedgehogs have been battling each other for a preemptive amount of time.
The blue hedgehog, in his hand, grasped a red chaos emerald. The black hedgehog across from him grasped a green chaos emerald.
The blue hedgehog wipes the side of his mouth, the spilt blood lathering his glove.
The black hedgehog across from him sneers at him, pursing his lip. "Had enough, faker?!"
He grins, "We have all afternoon to duke it out, buddy boy. I'm just getting - STARTED!"
The two hedgehog flash towards each other and clash in a power struggle.

They shakily grasp against the other, with Sonic's hand tugged against Shadow's neck, and Shadow's hand presses his wrist tightly, twisting it.
"You're nothing but the most aggravating pestilence I have ever encountered." Shadow growls in a taunt. "I can't fathom how long it's taken me to defeat you once and for all."
"Yeah?" Sonic responds with a deep tone himself. "At least I have the guts to say that you and I were friends once. I never looked at you and only saw someone in the way .. guess I shoulda never taken pity on someone who don't want it."
"PITY?!" Shadow yells with widened ruby eyes. "ON ME?!"
His hand glistens in chaos energy as he roughly pushes Sonic meters away, causing the blue hedgehog to curl up into a spike ball, regaining his balance. "We were NEVER friends, you FOOL!"
"NO?!" Sonic shouts. "Who .. who SAVED you when you were about to float into ENDLESS SPACE when we saved Mobius all those years ago from the ark about to crash into it?!"
-->Sonic builds up electrolyzed speed under his soles as he dashes towards the hedgehog, engaging in a brawl.
He swings one foot but Shadow blocks it, swinging his forearm against Sonic's shin.
Sonic is impacted but recovers by evading under attack, hopping of his foot to crash the side of his other foot against Shadow's head.
Shadow blocks it once again, twisting Sonic's arm under as he plummets the blue hedgehog beneath him, sending a shockwave throughout the prairie.<--
"Gah-!" Shadow presses his foot against Sonic's neck, snatching the ruby emerald out of his hand.
"I loathed you for saving me." The dark hero says with a gentle breath. "I looked at you and would see the one who deprived me of my own choice to rid myself of the weight I carry on my shoulders. You have no idea .. what you did to me. You have no idea .. what I've been forced to relive every single day. I saw her .. everywhere I went. And you-..."
