I don't like the sun

Cheryl really hated the sun.

The redhead groaned loudly as her face crumpled in frustration. "I can't move, I can't even concentrate, I feel like my whole body is on fire, this is torture"

Toni shook her head with a little laugh "I can see that baby. I won't say I told you so but -"

Cheryl shot her an irritated look as she squeezed one damp cough above one of her shoulders so that the cool water trickled down her red raw back and she held the other one on her face. "Saying that you won't say it, is just another way of saying it, Toni, and you know it"

"What did you expect to happen, falling asleep sunbathing, eh? and you look like a lobster" Toni chuckles, then places her hand over her mouth to hide her laughs and smile.

Cheryl scowled at the brunette. She pulled her towel further up her chest and snapped "Thank you for the sympathy. I haven't been this burnt since our road trip in high school to California, and besides it's all your fault"

"What! How is it my fault?" Toni demanded, though at the same time she took the cloths off Cheryl and flung them into the sink and then started rummaging through all of the redheads various lotions and sunscreen for some aloe Vera. "I told you to put sunscreen on, Cher, you know your beautiful white skin needs it"

The brunette moved behind Cheryl, and she winced as Toni started dabbing the aloe Vera onto her stinging shoulders. The redhead squeezes her eyes shut for a second at the pain, then replied, "Yes TT you did tell me to put sunscreen on which is why I specifically asked you to do it for me, before I ended up falling asleep.

Toni's hands on her skin paused "You did?"

Cheryl nodded, annoyed. "Yes, and you said you would put it on me after putting Anthony to sleep. And then I wake two hours later and you're nowhere in sight and I feel like I've been put in a microwave"

Toni made a small guilty "oh" noise and her hands moving against Cheryl's skin grew noticeable gentler. "I'm sorry my love, I got distracted because someone at the bar rang me about an issue that I needed to sort out"

The redhead turned her head towards the brunette. "Toni Topaz, you are not supposed to be working, we are on break"

Toni gave her a look and rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh please, how do you propose I did with my time while you were sunbathing, I don't need a tan" the brunette was suddenly grinning that little girl grin that Cheryl had grown to love.

Cheryl winced again at the sunburn, then said, vaguely amused, "you're impossible. Still, punishment shall fit the crime. If you'd been pampering me instead of working I wouldn't be sunburnt. But since I am... don't think I'm going to bed with you till my skin stops stinging like I'm being eaten alive"

Toni's eyes widen, the grin vanished.

Cheryl just chuckled at Toni's charge of mood and motioned for the brunette to get back to the aloe Vera.

Despite how long they'd been together, it was still fun to actually trump Toni for once.
