"Uh-uh, pretty lady, not happening"

Toni reached over and took the laptop from her wife's hand, and tossed it gently amongst the pillows on their bed. The redhead gave her one of her mildly-offended looks, but Toni shook her head firmly and circled Cheryl's hips with her hands. "There is no way in hell you are taking work with you on our honeymoon"

They had been married a month earlier, but work had been keeping them in Riverdale, and now they had finally gotten a time to go on their honeymoon.

The redhead swayed playfully against Toni's hands, but still complained. "Do you have any idea how much paperwork I'll have after a fortnights absence?" It was true, there was no doubt Cheryl was the best in her firm and everyone would leave everything for her to do because she never lost a trial.

Toni leant in and kissed her on the nose, "I promise I'll help you catch up"

The mental imagine of her wife, behind her desk and helping her go through piles of paperwork was so ridiculous that she burst into laughter. She cupped the brunettes face in her hands and said "Watch I don't hold that against you"

Toni's grin fell of her face at the thought, but she kissed her wife again anyway, then released her to help with the packing.

They were taking a lot, well she wasn't, Cheryl was. She knew the redhead would be taking more of less her entire wardrobe. She wouldn't put it past the redhead to take her 30 piece red lipstick kit of the exact same shade.

"You don't have to pack that" Toni told the redhead, as she saw her put one of the many books from her shelves into one of the cases.

Cheryl looked at her wife and arched an eyebrow. "TT. Sixteen days is a long time. I know you. You'll be chewing the floorboards in boredom by the end of it. A book will be a good time waster"

Toni wasn't going to argue- after all, she'd realised earlier on in the relationship that she'd never win the little disagreements and so she may as well save her energy for the big ones, but personally she didn't think that reading was going to be high on her to-do-list.

Seriously, sixteen days in a beautiful place with her Beautiful wife, no distractions and nobody to disturb them. She was pretty sure that she could think of a couple of ways to keep them entertained.

The brunette eyes grow a little dreamy and Cheryl only had to take one glance at her wife to know exactly what she was thinking.

The redhead let go of the skirt she was about to pack from her hands and she shifted closer to Toni, eyes twinkling. " I can read your mind, you know...."

The brunette put her face into the redheads hair, breathing in the scent of the shampoo Cheryl always uses. She caressed her wife's curvy hips with her gentle hands. "No kidding. Between finally having a break at work and the fact that you are finally my wife, I only have one enjoyable activity planned"

Cheryl gave her another one of her looks, and laughed. "My wife, the romantic. And here I was thinking you were supposed to be the softie one in our marriage"

The brunette lifted one of her hands for her wife's hip and places it onto her cheek with a light stroke. "Sure I am, I just know what I want is all, Mrs Topaz-Blossom"

Cheryl grinned at the use of her new surname. She knew that Toni somewhat hated it because she wanted their surname to be Blossom but Cheryl wanted it to be Topaz, so they agreed to make it a double barrel surname. "Well that bluntness might just have paid off, Mrs Topaz-Blossom"

"Oh, really now?"

"Mmm" The redhead put packing out her mind and kissed her wife.

Much more enjoyable.
