Chapter 48 - Cheques

Friday, April 9th

After the way Louis acted yesterday and practically drove Harry out of the house, me and Harry reevaluated the situation and thought it would probably be best not to tell Louis of mine and his best friends relationship just yet.

Louis has been really depressed recently, he's getting angrier and angrier by the day and I think it's safe to say this whole break thing Poppy has hit him really hard. It's even awkward for me because she's refusing to tell me why it's not working because she doesn't want to fall out, but that's just making me more suspicious. It's as if she's got something to hide.

Fortunately dads coming incredibly well as a single parent to two new borns and two young adults, which is brilliant in Louis' case because that's managed to partly calm him down.

I just feel like I constantly have to watch what I say or do I case he takes a turn for the worse and bites my head off,mor even worse, randomly breaks down and goes back to the drugs. After everything he's overcome and we have as a family, that would be the biggest kick in the teeth, for all of us.

Truthfully, I don't really understand what he's doing with himself at the minute nor what's going on in his head, and I daren't ask. I mean one minutes he's lovely and next minute he's like a lion that hasn't been fed in 10 days. For example, one day he's all for me and Harry and makes jokes about the relationship, then a few days later he insults Harry and calls him a leach. I genuinely think my brother is bipolar.

"Hello?" My voice echoed through the front door after my walk home from work. Yes i do still work there, and yes so does Harvey, and yes although we are civil everyday is a nightmare.

"Is anyone home?" I shouted again as I untied and dropped my apron at the bottom of the stairs and hung my coat up on the stand.

"Er, yes yes I am" Louis frantically shouted from upstairs. I frowned at his tone of voice but shrugged it off a I got myself a drink, to rehydrate myself from the previous walk.
