Clove's POV
"What time is it?" I ask the next morning as I slowly open my eyes.
"Around noon," Wolf answers from beside me, he has pretty much held me for 24 hours, so I am sure his arms are tired by now. "You didn't really fall asleep until sunrise, so I know you needed it."
"How did you know I didn't fall asleep until sunrise?" I asked. I am a pretty good fake sleeper and while I didn't want to lie to him, I didn't want him worrying about me.
"You snore," he laughs, "so if you're not snoring, you're awake."
"I do not snore," I laugh faking offense.
"Like a damn trucker," he laughs back.
I feel kind of normal right now. I still have a gaping hole in my chest, but it's bearable. For the first time ever, I have a human here to support me. Usually, I just have- shit!
"Luna," I gasp as I sit straight up, "shit I forgot about my dog Luna. She's at my house alone." I am the worse dog mom.
"I can go get her and bring her here if you want. Or I can take you back home?" he offers, and I visibly relax.
"Can you go and get her?" I ask not wanting to leave just yet.
"Of course, I'll go right now. It's lunchtime so all of the guys are downstairs eating right about now. Do you want to stay up here or go down there and eat?"
"Do they know why I am here?" I ask. I am still so embarrassed by all of this, and I don't know if I can handle all their looks of pity.
"They know you are having a hard time and that you are here with me. That's it," he answers, and I let out a sigh of relief.
"They will definitely joke about us being together though. So, if that makes you uncomfortable, I can get Grace to bring some food up to you" He laughs though his eyes are full of concern.
"Haven't I proven over the past few weeks that I can handle those boys?" I shot back. Damn, that almost sounded like something old Clove would say.
He just laughs in response as he takes my keys and leads me down the stairwell. As promised, the entire club, minus Amber, is down in the bar. I take a deep breath as we walk in and their eyes land on me, I can handle this.
"Damn brother, you work quickly," Gunner jokes as I walk over to Grace. I know Wolf could never like me like that, but it is the simplest explanation for my presence. I love these boys, but I do not need them tiptoeing around me like Wolf is now.
"What? Are you jealous, Gunner?" I smirk. Wolf looks at me with shock, but he just nods at me and walks out of the bar.
"Where's he going?" Bear asks.
"He is going to get my dog, Luna," I respond praying they don't ask any more questions.
"He's moving you in already? You must have one hell of a pus-" Skillet begins but stops when Blade smacks him on the back of the head.
"Shut the hell up, Skillet. Read the fucking room before you say shit like that," Grace yells at him like a mother scolding a child.
"Sorry, mom," he responds in a condescending tone.
"Blade, you better get this boy the fuck up out of here before I remind him how he got his road name," she is fuming now and I know she is just trying to protect me, to make sure nothing sets me off.
"Wait, you're the reason he's called Skillet?" I laugh, "You have to tell me the story now."
"You promised you wouldn't tell it anymore," Skillet groans and all of the boys tell him to shut up.
