I woke up, startled, my stomach feeling like I'd just dropped a thousand feet. My mum was stood over me. 'Get up, sleepyhead,' She shook me lightly by the shoulders. 'Up, breakfast, now!'
'Do we have to?' A grumpy Imogen echoed my exact thoughts.
'Well, you can stay here if you want to miss rafting!' My mum pulled the covers off us and we finally got up, choosing an outfit and wearing our bikinis underneath. The air conditioning had cooled the apartment down and it was finally cold enough to live in.
I picked out some plain black cycling shorts as I'd have to wear them while I rafted, but Imogen wasn't quite as sensible. She put on some denim shorts on and refused to wear anything else. We put on matching t-shirts and slid on our flip-flops, packing our river shoes and a change of clothes.
I grabbed my backpack before I left the apartment and we all walked down the stairs and headed out to find our way to the breakfast place. We saw a couple people we recognised, who waved at us when we sat down.
I looked at the wide range of options for food and wished I was hungry. I helped myself to some fruit water and berry pancakes, knowing I really wasn't hungry enough for more than that. 'Summer, Imogen, don't get too much, we have to be at the place in less than 20 minutes,' my mum reminded me.
'Yes, yes, we know,' Imogen and I grumbled back at her whilst finding the hot chocolate machine, because 30 degrees wasn't hot enough already. The selection was amazing, and the pancakes were honestly delicious.
Breakfast that first day was rushed, and we grabbed our bags and headed up to the holidays office as quickly as possible. We weren't the last ones there.
I saw the families that'd been sat with us at the restaurant, and the family of three. We were waiting for another three families to arrive before we'd walk to the transfer vehicles and get driven to where we would begin our rafting journey.
The last family, the one with the two older looking boys, were about seven minutes late. Lori sighed at them as their mum apologised.
Lori and Karmen led us under a tunnel to get to the coach. Imogen, Ella, Maisie and I went to sit on the back row together and we chatted about theme parks we'd been to.
The journey lasted a while, everyone still isolated in their families. The coach stopped to pick up some more people who spoke Hungarian. There was something about the old couple in front of me speaking in a language that I didn't understand that was almost comforting.
The bus finally arrived in the car park, and we were instructed to change into our swimming costumes. The adults had to sign a form allowing their children who were under eighteen to go. The girl who asked for a cocktail last night and her mum weren't here as they didn't want to go.
After everyone was signed in and all our belongings were in the van, we were given helmets and life jackets. Then we stood around a raft like we were told to and waited for more instruction.
My family was stood next to a family with two boys, both of them under eighteen. Their dad, who I think was called Dominic, and their mum who was called Charlotte, quickly started a conversation with my mum.
'So, I'm Georgia, this is Imogen, she's fifteen, and this is Summer, she's thirteen.'
'Hi,' we both said awkwardly.
'Hi, so my boys are Timothy and Oliver, sorry, Tim and Ollie. Tim's fifteen and Ollie's thirteen, like your girls.'
Tim just grunted a quick hello, and I looked at Ollie and smiled. He was the only person I'd spoken to who was my age. My mum and Dominic started talking about the women's EUROs that we'd just won, but before I could join their conversation, a young man who introduced himself as Frankie, started speaking.
