When the girls' performance began, Isaac introducing them using India's hairbrush as a microphone, his baseball cap on backwards.

'Hello guys!' he shouted confidently, all the adults cheering, Ralph getting ready to lay down his beat. 'And this is the newly formed band, the Mother Ducks, with their debut single, Timothy Timothy.'

The adults all cheered again, Timothy, who was sitting next to Ollie and I rolling his eyes and sighing, but still putting his phone away to see the performance.

Isaac came and sat down with us, giving us an odd look at the way Ollie was lying on my shoulder half asleep, then watching the girls.

Ralph had been given the baseball cap and put it on backwards, standing behind the girls. 'Yo Ralph, lay down your beat!'

Ralph stepped forwards into the conveniently placed lights from the restaurant that looked kind of like spotlights. 'I'm not ready,' he said quietly, every other adult's phone camera focused on him.

He sighed, securing the hat, beginning to beatbox, or "lay down a beat". The girls waited a few beats then came in in perfect timing.

'Timothy Timothy, what is your issue. No that's two fifty we ain't gonna miss you. Erm, no?' The first line was steady and to the beat, every girl laughing, all the adults giggling at Ralph.

Ollie opened his eyes and watched too, taking my hand, both Tim and Isaac giving us a look. Also, Charlotte, from behind the wall, took a quick photo of Ollie lying on me.

'Summer and Ollie, you're getting older. She's laying on your shoulder.' The rap continued, Tim looking relieved that the spotlight was gone from him.

Ollie, however, went bright red and buried his face in my shoulder. I put my arm round him and pulled him closer to me. Charlotte, her camera still out, was loving this.

The rap finished and was greeted by clapping and cheering from the adults, then the rest of the restaurant, nobody even knowing what was going on, other people along the street and in other restaurants joining in.

We knew for a fact that most people didn't even speak English there, none of them could see the girls' performance but they clapped, nonetheless.

Every kid was talking to their parents now, but I went over with Ollie to talk to Charlotte. 'Did you two give them permission to do that in their song?' she asked.

Ollie and I both answered by shaking our heads. 'Aww, that was rude, come here,' and Charlotte hugged us both, Ollie and I resting our heads on each other.

Ollie and Charlotte went back to their apartments early, both saying they were tired and needed sleep.

Unfortunately, Imogen wanted to stay, and my mum didn't want either me or her walking these streets alone in the dark. So, I had to wait for Imogen to want to leave, knowing it'd be another half hour at the least.

Isabelle was the first one to come and ask me about Ollie, Tim and Dominic also slipping home while everyone was busy talking.

'Now you can't even try to claim there's nothing going on between you and Ollie, we all saw you just back then.'

'There's nothing, like, official going on. He hasn't even said if he likes me yet.'

'What do you want, a fucking written invitation? Girl, he likes you. He may even love you. Just shoot your shot. He goes home in what, two days.'

'I still don't know. Neither of us has said anything. I don't know, Isabelle.'

'Well, I do, and that boy is in love with you. And you're very obviously in love with him. So, what the hell are you actually waiting for. Ask him out.'
