Giving Up On You

After days and days.... nobody came not Piper, not Leo, not Phoebe.

 
Paige had gained Roman's trust and she was not caged up anymore, but she couldn't use her magic from where she was. 

Some lower-level demons had educated her on what she signed up for.

When she realized, she was set to marry a demon she started to panic. She still played along incase her sisters had a plan. They had to, right?

  Her and Roman had picked through dresses that Paige learned were his mother's.

 Paige found out that Roman's mom was married five times and for each time she always had to have 3 options for dresses. His mother originally married his father a low-level demon. His father eventually made a deal to become human and Roman hadn't seen him since.

 
His mother since then craved more and more power and was now married to an upper-level demon who Roman couldn't stand.

 
Roman was so nice to her that Paige started to feel bad about constantly thinking of ways to get out of there. Roman seemed to enjoy her company. Roman seemed like a good guy who was just born into evil.

After picking out the dress she wanted, the two of them took a walk to meet his mother before the ceremony but ended up running into a familiar face on the way there.
Roman looked up and spoke.

 
"Paige this is my best man, Cole. Oh, wait you know each other. Small world isn't it" Roman laughed.

 Her eyes were looking into Cole's praying that he was there to help her. He avoided looking at her. 

Roman then seen another one of his "brothers" and was about to go to talk to him. Before he left, he stopped in-front of Cole.

"Hey why don't you bring her sisters she deserves some support too" He winked. 

Paige knew he didn't mean it.

Cole just smiled at him. 

"Are you here to help me?" Paige asked with faith.

"Uh no sorry. I haven't been advised to. It would break my cover if I brought you back. Well Phoebes calling I have to go. Just try and stay safe." Cole said before shimmering away.

Paige was sat in her room that she shared with her soon to be husband. What Cole said really stuck with her. 

She decided she was going to go through with the wedding because Roman made her feel special. He wasn't a judging person. He gave her space. He didn't nitpick and didn't yell at her all the time. 

She decided if her sisters treat her the way they did when she tried to do good then she would stop doing good completely. She didn't mind pissing them off anymore. She now wanted them to pay for everything they've put her through.

Cole was back to the manor frustrated with the sister's negativity. 

He told Piper and Phoebe what was going on.

 
"She's terrified if you guys don't go get her soon, she's going to marry Roman. 

He seems like a nice guy, but I know him better than anyone. He's trouble guys. He's in line to become the next source! I've known him for years! He was a part of the brotherhood!
Guys? Are you even listening to me?" He threw his hands up in defeat. He looked at both the girls' expressions.

 
He could tell Phoebe was slightly worried. Piper on the other hand shrugged. 

"She said she doesn't want to be a part of this family anymore. Prue never abandoned us like Paige will. I don't care what she does. I don't care about the power of three either. You, the demons, the elders and whoever else can kiss my ass!" She said with pure anger.

4 demons had attacked since they came home from the underworld but luckily for them it was only lower-level demons. They hadn't faced an upper-level demon yet. Piper went back to the kitchen and made a quiet comment about it being quiet since Paige was gone.

Leo had been informed by the elders due to his loyalty to Piper and with the charmed ones being vulnerable right now until they fixed their relationship, Paige would get her own white lighter. They had asked him if he had made any progress with Piper.

He recalled his conversation with her.
"Piper! She risked her life for you guys! She stayed so you guys could come home. That's what sisters do. Which you've clearly forgotten!" Leo said.

"No Leo! She stayed because she didn't want to come back and deal with the consequences. She always runs when things don't go her way. Prue never ran from a fight!" Piper said.

"She's not Prue! Imagine being in Paige's shoes. She finds her biological family and finds out you guys have magical powers and a dead sister who's shoes she'll never fill!" Leo said.

"She's never once imagined how I feel. Having to be the big sister! That's never been my job, Leo! Prue died and then she came along, and we just had to forget about Prue because she showed up! And she always screws up Leo! It's ridiculous!" Piper said angrily.

"You guys screwed up a lot too at first! You fail to acknowledge that! Just like you fail to acknowledge that without her you and Phoebe would be dead. And you fail to acknowledge that you treat Paige like crap because you are too scared to open your heart back up and you're going to lose another sister that way!" Leo said raising his voice.

"Get out! Get out now!" Piper screamed.
Leo orbed back out.

The elders were disappointed in the charmed one's behavior. They even threatened to assign Leo to someone else because they felt the girls were undeserving. He managed to convince the elders the girls would get past this. 

Leo tried to sense Paige every day since the girls returned but couldn't. He went back to the elders every day to find out more.

Eventually they told him Paige would no longer be his charge.
The elders told Leo they were losing faith in the charmed ones and that their fight was good vs. evil not them against one another.

 
Leo sighed there was nothing he could do.
This time the elders were right.
