Baby Time

A few months later
Piper woke up in the middle of the night her water had broke.
"Leo!"she said
"Leo!" She started shaking him and he finally woke up.
"Hmm?"
"My water broke." She stated.
"Oh!" Leo jumped up shocked.
"Let me get your sisters." He headed towards the door.
"I'm not doing a home birth Leo! We talked about this!" Piper started raising her voice.
"Piper it's the safest way! Your sisters have been training for this!" Leo said still standing at the door.
Piper took a deep breath and waved him on to go get her sisters.
Prue and Phoebe came rushing in half asleep.
Piper looked at Leo.
"They do not look like they are in any condition to deliver this baby!" Piper said.
Prue felt offended while Phoebe was still wiping sleep from her eyes.
"Well that's not nice!" Prue said.
Piper looked back at Phoebe.
"Someone go get Paige please." Piper begged.
"Paige." Prue said.
No answer.
"Paige!" Prue said even louder
"PAIGE!!" Piper yelled
Paige orbed in. Her older sisters noticed her appearance. Her hair was messy and she was wearing a button up shirt that clearly belonged to a guy.
"Um did I interrupt something?" Prue asked smirking.
"Yes." Paige said simply looking at each of her sisters waiting for an explanation.
"My water broke!" Piper said.
"Oh ok." Paige said looking at Piper.
"Your gonna have to help Prue deliver her." Piper said.
"Why me? What about Phoebe?" Paige asked with a disgusted face.
Everyone turned to Phoebe who was asleep in the chair.
"That's why." Prue said.
"Fine. Have you checked her blood pressure?"Paige asked.
"No?" Prue said.
"Oh dear god. You were just gonna deliver the baby without checking?" Paige asked
"Uh huh. Why?" Prue said not concerned.
"Because if it's high it can lead to c section or she could bleed to death." Paige said bluntly.
"Um hello! Terrified pregnant lady in the room." Leo said covering Pipers ears.
"C section? Oh no! You two idiots will not be performing a c section on me! I will bleed to death." Piper said starting to panic.
"Don't worry Piper your in good hands. Now are you ready to have to baby?" Prue asked
"Prue! You haven't even checked to see how dilated she is!" Paige said.
"Now you see why I called you!" Piper yelled.
"Piper calm down. You really will raise your blood pressure." Prue said.

Piper started having contractions that were small but quickly got worse and closer together. After waiting 5 hours Prue determined Piper was dilated enough and it was time for the baby to come. Her and Paige were under a lot of pressure to deliver the baby. Paige suddenly remembered she was wearing her "friends" shirt. She didn't know how she'd explain if she brought it back ruined.
"Hold on Piper. I have to go change." Paige said orbing out
"I CANT HOLD ON PAIGE! GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!" She screamed at her youngest sister.
Paige orbed back in wearing a different shirt.
"Ugh this one's wrinkled." Paige said.
"Paige?" Piper asked
"Yes?" Paige asked.
"Shut the hell up and help Prue deliver my baby!" Piper yelled.
"Ooh your cranky." Paige said walking back up to Prue.
Prue stepped in.
"Okay Piper start to Push." Prue said
Piper did as she's told.
She pushed for 45 minutes before finally giving birth to her beautiful baby girl.
"Hi baby girl!" Piper said crying looking at her beautiful daughter.
The sisters stepped out to give her and Leo a few minutes alone. Paige decided she should go before her "friend" woke up and wondered where she was. Prue tried to ask questions about the guy but Paige cut her off by orbing away.
Phoebe walked out of Piper and Leo's room.
"I slept through the entire birth?" She asked.
Prue nodded.
"Good!" She said
"Not cool." Prue said
"You delivered her by yourself?" Phoebe asked
"No Paige came to help before going back to her lover boys house." Prue answered.
"Oh." Phoebe said.
Leo walked out into the hallway.
"You guys can come back in." Leo said
They walked back in to see Piper holding the baby.
"Aunt Prue, Aunt Phoebe meet
Melinda Grace Halliwell."
Prue and Phoebe both smiled because they could see just how much this baby meant to Piper already.
"Hi! I'm your Auntie Prue." Prue said looking down at her niece.
Phoebe kept staring at her niece.
"Something about her reminds me of grams." Phoebe said.
Piper smiled.
"I see it too." Piper said.
Piper then frowned.
"Where's Paige?" She asked
"She had to go back to the guy she hooked up withs house. She didn't want him to wake up and see her gone." Prue said
"Shouldn't her niece be more important? Piper said looking at Prue.
"I guess your right." Prue said
"Maybe it's hard for her to be around babies right now considering what happened a few months ago." Phoebe said
"Maybe." Piper and Prue said at the same time
Piper and the baby decided to get some rest. Prue and Phoebe went downstairs.
Piper couldn't sleep everytime she went to sleep she kept having nightmares about something happening to her baby. Every since Paige lost hers. Piper knew Melinda would be a target. She would have nightmares about not being able to protect her.
Paige orbed in.
"How are you doing?" She asked her older sister.
"I'm okay. Why?" Piper asked curiously
"I just feel like something is bothering you." Paige said
"Well I've been having nightmares." Piper admitted.
"What about?" Paige asked
"Losing her, Demons coming after her,Me not being able to protect her." Piper said naming all the dreams she could remember.
"Piper nothing is gonna happen to her." Paige said
"You don't know that Paige!" Piper said anxiously
"I do because your one strong ass woman. You have three sisters who aren't going to let anyone hurt your child. I promise nothing will happen to her. I never want you to go through that. It sucks. Your already an amazing mom Piper." Paige said
Piper had tears in her eyes. She pulled Paige in for a hug.
"I really needed that. Thanks." Piper said
"Of course." Paige smiled at her sister
"If you don't mind me asking why did you run off earlier?" Piper asked curiously
"Two reasons. I was telling the truth about not wanting Kyle to notice I was gone. But I guess it's just kinda hard. I still have a lot going on in my head." She said.
Piper looked at her little sister. She could tell Paige was hiding her emotions and pretending to be happy.
"You know you can talk to me whenever Paige."
Piper said
"Yeah I know." Paige said
Piper wanted to change the subject
"You sensed I was upset about something?" Piper asked
"Yeah. I don't know if it was a whitelighter sense or a sister one." Paige said
"Probably both. Thank you for helping Prue deliver her. Sorry for being a bitch. You'll get plenty of free passes next time your pregnant."
Piper said laughing.
"There won't be a next time." Paige stated
"There won't?" Piper asked curiously.
"No. I don't want kids of my own. I think I'll just be the cool Aunt." Paige said with a smile
"You'll be a good aunt but you would be a good mom too." Piper said
"I just feel like it not working out happened for a reason." Paige said
"But that doesn't make it any easier does it?" Piper asked
"No." Paige said with a slight frown.
