KateLynn's POV:
Zayn loved his Christmas present. I took him to an art gallery that was having an exhibit on local artists. Dylan Brown, the quarterback, was friends with the owner's daughter. I have a feeling though that they are more than just friends. I gave one of Zayn's drawings to Dylan, who talked the owner into putting it in the exhibit. Zayn had no idea and he actually cried. I love him so much! Now we get to celebrate the memories we made in 2012 and bring in the new year together.
"KateLynn, I need to talk to you." Zayn said suddenly. We were at Maggie's, again. She was the one who organized all of our parties, so everyone is usually at her house. "Sure thing, baby." I replied. We got up and went outside. Maggie has a trampoline out back and that's where we went. We climbed onto the trampoline and sat down. Zayn took my hand and didn't say anything for a few minutes. I knew that whatever he had to tell me was serious so I let him take his time. "KateLynn, I love you. More than anything on this planet." I blushed at this as he squeezed my hand. He continued, "You're my first love and I'll always remember you. You'll always have a special place in my heart." I didn't like where this was going. Was he breaking up with me? He took a deep breath and looked me in the eyes as he finished, "KateLynn, I'm moving."
I could literally feel my heart break in two. My vision blurred as the tears filled my eyes. I suddenly couldn't get enough air in my lungs and I felt light headed. I opened my mouth to say something, anything, but nothing came out. Within an instant, Zayn's arms were around me. He kept trying to shush me and tell me it would be okay and that he was there for me. He kept repeating that he loved me. Soon enough I could breathe again. I heard voices, but they sounded a million miles away. I could just barely make out what they were saying.

It was officially 2013. A new year, but I would not be spending it with Zayn, like I thought I would be. "Come on." Zayn whispered in my ear. He pulled me off the trampoline and over to his car. We drove to his house and went up to his room. We slept together and it was the best night of my life. I woke up the next morning to the smell of bacon and pancakes. It turns out that would be my last night with him. He would be leaving the next day and that meant I would have to say goodbye to boy I loved.
