Zayn's POV:

I was already at the party, waiting on KateLynn to arrive. "Hey man! Wanna a beer?" Brandon yelled at me over the music. "Nah, man. I don't drink." I replied honestly. I hated what alcohol could do. I was dressed in a hoodie KateLynn had told me she loved and a pair of jeans. I really hope Maggie wasn't lying about KateLynn liking me. Maggie and James, my best friends, are the only people that know I've liked KateLynn since the third grade. If she liked me back... Well, that would be awesome to say the least.

I sit down on the couch next to Alyssa, another one of Maggie's friends I hang out with. "Hey Zayn! They're on their way." She told me with a smile. Although I had dated her, we still managed to be friends. "Sweet." I said, looking a bit a nervous. "You sure you don't want a drink? I mean, it might calm you down." She told me, her words slightly slurred. "Positive." I told her. "Alright, suit yourself!" She hollered as she slammed the rest of her beverage back.

I look around and see my classmates losing themselves in the alcohol and loud music, Alyssa had disappeared a while ago to go find something else to drink. I take my phone out and check the time, nine thirty. I was just about to text Maggie when a shadow fell over me. I look up to see Ali, KateLynn's friend, standing there. "Come on. She's here." She told me with a grin on her face. I stood up and followed Ali to the front of the house.

First I saw Maggie, flirting with Brandon, her crush since last year. Then I saw Alyssa again and next to her was Kristin, a girl I of as a sister.  Behind them was Lacy, KateLynn's friend from drama class, and Ali. I walked up to them and opened my mouth, but before I could say anything Kristin pointed her finger to the kitchen. I nodded and walked away.

I had to practically fight my way into the kitchen. Once I was in, however, I saw a really hot girl with her back to me. She was talking to Tyler Craig, meaning there was NO way that was KateLynn. Then she turned around, clearly pissed at Tyler. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped. The girl was KateLynn. She smiled when she saw me and said "Hey! I guess Maggie wasn't lying?" I quickly recovered from my shock and said "No, she wasn't. You look great by the way." "Thanks." She smiled as blood rushed to her cheeks. She took a drink of the red solo cup she had been holding and said "Lets get outta this kitchen?" I instantly agreed and followed her out back.

Man, she was beautiful in that dress. "Maggie made it." She said. "What?" I asked, confused as to how she knew what I was thinking. "You were staring at my dress." She replied shrugging. "Oh. How many cups have you had?" I questioned her suddenly. "Five. I think." She responded. "Meaning you're drunk?" I guessed. "Not yet!" She tried defending herself. "Whatever you say." I muttered, knowing I would have to help Lacy get her in the car. She smiled at the ground for no apparent reason. "What are you smiling at?" I wondered. Man, I wanted kiss her right then. She was just so pretty, so sweet, so everything I ever wanted. I stepped closer to her and took the cup out of her hand. "Look at me!" I told her smirking. She giggled and wrapped her arms around my neck. I placed mine on her hips and started to lean closer, giving up the fight against not kissing her.

Our lips met and it was amazing. What was first a simple kiss between two friends suddenly deepened. I ran my tongue against her bottom lip begging for entrance. Once I was granted access, she moved her hands from my neck to my hair. I ran my hands up and down her back loving the feel of her in my arms. She pulled away for air and I kept kissing her all down her neck. She let out a soft moan and I smiled against her skin. I was just about to kiss her once again when someone cleared their throat. I pulled away and saw Lacy looking at anywhere but at us. "I uhhh, I have to take her home..." She told me hesitantly. "What? She just got here?" I asked confused. "Zayn, it's been like three hours." I guess we had been kissing for longer than I thought. "Oh," I replied, still feeling dazed from our make out session. KateLynn was leaning against my body and my arms were still around her. "I'll help!" Yelled out Dylan Brown, the quarterback of the football team.  "Thanks man." I said as we worked on getting a smashed KateLynn into Lacy's car. "I guess I'll talk to her in the morning." I told Lacy. "Got it, I'll tell her to call you when she wakes up." "Thanks." I smiled at her. I noticed I wasn't the one her smiled was aimed at though, it was Dylan. He was returning the smile, too. I said goodbye to Dylan, got in my car, and went home.
