KateLynn's POV:
Spinning. Everything was spinning; the room, the bed, even Lacy. "Here." She handed me two tablets and a bottle of vitamin water. I took the medicine and a few long sips of the water. "Thanks. What time is it?" I asked, once I realized there was sunlight streaming into the room. "Ten in the morning. You're the first awake." She told me. It really wasn't that surprising; I'm usually the first one up, whether its from staying up and talking or from a drunk night out.
My stomach started churning and Lacy handed me a bowl. I puked the alcohol from my stomach. Afterwards, Lacy took the bowl and went to the bathroom to clean it out while I drank some more water. "Zayn wants to see you." Lacy said, nonchalantly when she came back into the room. "What?!" I asked, sitting up again, highly alert. "He helped me get you in the car last night, told me to tell you when you woke up to call him." She explained it like it happened all the time. "Oh, ok." I said, sighing as I took my iPhone from my mother-like friend.
I dialed his number and waited for his wonderful voice to answer me. "You're awake?" He asked, sounding shocked. "Yes, I can handle my alcohol. Ok not really but I sill wake up early." I added the last part when I heard him snort. "What did I do?" I mouthed to Lacy. She just shrugged her shoulders and left the room. "Lacy said you wanted to talk to me?" "Oh, yeah. Uh can I meet you somewhere?" He suggested, suspiciously. "Uh, sure? How about the Starbucks a block from the school?" "Yeah, sounds great." We hung up and I pulled myself of the comfy heaven that was my bed.
After getting dressed in a t-shirt and jeans, I grabbed my purse and walked to the Starbucks. He was already there, waiting. "Hey!" I smiled once I was close enough. "Hey! I'm shocked you look like that." he responded without thinking. I raised an eyebrow at him, silently asking him what the hell he meant. "No! Not like that! I just mean, you had a lot to drink last night, I can't believe how great you look." He blushed and stuttered over the words. "Thanks! That makes me feel SO good!" I told him sarcastically. "Just sit and drink the coffee I ordered you." What cof-" I was cut off by the waiter sitting two cups down on the table. "A medium caramel mocha with whipped cream on top." Zayn answered my silent question. "You remember my favorite coffee?" I asked incredulously. He just shrugged.
"So, uh, what did you need to tell me, or talk to me about?" I said into the silence that followed the arrival of our drinks. "Last night... What all do you remember?" He popped the question, getting straight to the point. "Not much. Tell me about it?" I suggested, praying I didn't do something stupid, like announce my undying devotion to him. "We, uh.... We kissed." I sat, shell shocked. "I'm so sorry KateLynn. I didn't mean to take advantage of you. It just happened. We were outside and you just looked so beautiful, I couldn't stop myself. I feel aw-" he finally stopped ranting when I melded my lips to his.
Even though I didn't remember our first kiss, this one was perfect. His lips felt right when they were with mine. His tongue swiped my bottom lip and I parted, allowing him in. After a few more seconds, I pulled away. He was smiling like an idiot. "You didn't take advantage of me." I reassured him. "Are you free tonight?" He asked. "Yes, what did you have in mind?" "You'll see." He told me with a wink, as he stood up, tossed some money on the table, and walked out.
After sitting there for a minute, I got up and went back home. I found everyone in Maggie's room (yes, she has a room at my house; that's how much she stays here). I walked in and told them all what happened. Maggie had a smirk while Lacy and Ali just squealed in excitement for me. I texted Zayn and asked what time our date was. I had seven hours until I went out with my best friend. I couldn't wait for the clock to read 7:00.
