KateLynn's POV:
I'm on my way to Flynn's house for band practice. I knock on the door and his mother answers and smiles at me. "Hey there, Sweetie! They're downstairs waiting on you!" she tells me as she gives me a hug. "Thanks! I had to finish up some homework before I came, so that's why I'm late." I tell her, walking towards the staircase. I enter the basement to see my boys hard at work. I smile as I sit down on the old ratty couch, listening to them play out the ending of a song I didn't know.
I clap when they finish and Flynn smiles at me after a look of shock fades from his face. "Hey! It's about time!" he told me. I return his smile and give him the same answer I gave his mother. He rolled his eyes at me and then turned back to the band. They all huddled together and started whispering. I roll my eyes and start playing on my phone. I'm in the middle of Subway Surfers when the phone is snatched out of my hands. "Hey!" I shout as I look up to see Matt with my phone. He smiles devilishly at me and slips the phone down the waist band of his pants. "If that's touching your dick, you can keep it." I say with my nose scrunched up in a disgusted way. Everyone starts to laugh at me. I sigh and sit back down, awaiting the devious antics of the rest of the band. Nothing happens and I shoot Flynn a confused face. He shrugs his shoulders and looks to Matt. Matt nods and everyone gets up and shouts, "Bye KateLynn!" at the same time. The confused face is stuck and I look back to Flynn, only to see him smiling. "What about my phone?" I ask, anger seeping into my tone. "Don't worry about it. You'll get it back soon enough." he said suspiciously. "Come on! We have a gig." he told me as he stood up and started walking. I get up and follow him not knowing about the gig, but deciding to go with it anyways.
We pulled up to Sebastian's Park and Flynn got out of the car. I stayed inside, since it was raining and nobody was there but Letters. "Come on!" Flynn yelled at me and opened my car door. "Flynn, it's raining! No one's here!" I shouted back. He rolled his eyes and pulled me towards the tree that had once been mine and Zayn's place, but had slowly turned into mine and Flynn's. I sat down and Flynn gave me his jacket. I pulled it on as the band began to play the song from earlier. I realized I did know it, I just hadn't heard it in a while.
I could talk all day long about the news, givin' you the current affairs or my views.
I could talk all night long about a song, givin' you the pointers on where you're goin' wrong.
I could talk all year long about the net, sendin' you the links I think you haven't seen yet.
I'd like to tell you things that I think you've never heard but there are no words.
I could talk all day long about dreams, sewing up your heart so you never see a seam.
I could talk all day about politics, all of the corruption, clean hands, dirty tricks.
But what can I say about something that blows me away without it soundin' like another cliché?
From what I've seen and I've heard, when it comes to you, baby no, there are no, there are no words.
There are no words.
Yeah I swear this much is true, there ain't no word in this world that describes you.
I could talk all day long about life, after so many wars how we're all still alive.
I could speak all night long about the world, how it took me thirty years just to find one girl.
I could shoot shit for days all about guitars, a Gibson or a Fender, it depends on who you are.
But when I try to say somethin' that you never heard, there are no words.
I could burn your ear off all about space and why we have a moon, why the moon has a face.
If the earth is spinnin' why we all stay in place
Why we can't walk walk, it's gotta be a space race.
But what can I say that’s gonna blow her mind away?
Gotta write a classic not a throwaway.
All I’ve seen, all I’ve heard, when it comes to you there are no, there are no, there are no words.
There are no words.
Yeah I swear this much is true, there ain't no word in this world to describe you.
Yeah I swear this much is true, there ain't no word in this world that describes you.
There are no words to describe or define what’s inside you, your feeling, your vibe
Believe me I’ve tried to break you down to a science
(I) See you in my mind and I open my mouth and it’s silence
I can articulate a Shakespeare poem
Even though know I didn’t know him I can see where he was goin’
And where he’s comin’ from I can even catch his flow and then I think of you
I don’t know where this metaphor is goin’
Cuz there ain’t no words you can understand, only lovers can
You can ask the professor and the madman
If they couldn’t find the words, no one can
All I’ve seen, all I heard
When it comes to you there’s just no, just no words
Yeah I swear this much is true, there ain't no word in this world that describes you
That describes you.
Yeah I swear this much is true, there ain't no word in this world that describes you.
There ain’t no
There ain’t no
They played The Script's No Words and at the ending Flynn jumped down and asked me to be his girlfriend. I nodded my head since I didn't trust my voice. Flynn smiled and kissed me, a kiss I realized I had been wanting for a long time. His kisses were different from Zayn's. Zayn was sweet whereas Flynn was rough. There was an urgency to his kiss, like he was sure I was going to disappear into thin air. I kissed him back with just as much force. The band wolf whistled in the distance and when we pulled apart Flynn was smirking. I smiled at him and he pulled me up and back to his car. He drove me to his house and we ate dinner with his mom, who did approve of me.
I used to think I could never be happy again, without Zayn, but now I know that was stupid of me. Plus, my birthday is only two months away...
