-18- the Party (pt 1)

The days at school went by slow. Nothing interesting happened, as everything was as usual. I'm having my last lesson for today, english. Since it's Friday, I can't wait to finally make my way home and get ready for Rodricks party.

My parents didn't know that I'd be going anywhere this night but that wouldn't be a problem because they were invited for the Wedding from one of my mums new friends who lived a few hours from here. That meant they'd be home by Sunday, giving me enough time to enjoy the Party and maybe even have a few friends over myself. 

I walked out with Olivia and James seeing my sisters car on the side of the road. I sat in the front, my friends in the back. We were talking and listening to music on low volume. Both my friends loved Elea and came along really well.

We arrived at my house but only Via and I walked in as James had to get ready at home because he had forgotten to bring his stuff. My sister didn't want him to walk so she drove him home. 

„What have you been thinking about wearing?" Olivia asked excitedly while sitting onto my bed.

„I honestly don't know yet." I looked into my wardrobe apparently not finding anything proper to wear for a party.

„Girl don't worry I'll help you find something!" she jumped up from my bed and pulled out a few dresses.

„Try them on!" she said handing me one of the four dresses."

I looked at her with opened eyes and was impressed how fast she found something. I'm not surprised though, she has really good fashion sense.

I showed her the different dresses and she would rate them. 

„it looks good, but not really for a party to be honest."

„It's alright"

„We're getting there"

„Perfect!" she shouted as she saw me wear the last dress she gave me.

I looked at myself in the mirror and really loved it. After she dressed up in what she brought, it was time for our hair and makeup. She helped me with the makeup and I did her hair. It took us quite a while to get finished. Not because it took us a long time to do it, but we were trying to have fun while getting ready.

We walked down the stairs, seeing James and Elea waiting downstairs. „Oh my god you two look amazing!" she shouted standing up from her chair. James reaction wasn't as similar. Instead I could have sworn seeing him blush. My sister looked amazing as well wearing our mothers old prom dress from the 90's and it looked absolutely stunning on her. I looked at the clock and saw that we still had an hour before we had to go. „I don't want to be like a strict mom, but if there is any alcohol and see any of ya'll drinking it, I'm gonna kick yo ass." there were a few seconds of silence before we started laughing. „What are we going to do for another hour?" James looked at my sister and we just decided to talk and save our energy for the party.

The hour passed quickly and we sat into the car, driving off to Rodricks adress. When we arrived Rodrick opened the door for us and let us in. Not long after though, more people rang the doorbell and he let them in. „I'll be right back" James said and walked towards the bathroom. Elea whispered into my ear saying „this is your chance to get closer to Rodrick." she winked at me and I could feel myself turning red. Olivia noticed and asked what we were talking about. 

I then remembered that I haven't told her about my crush for Rodrick so I leaned closer to her about to whisper before music started playing and I knew I could talk in a normal tone telling her about it. „I just realized I haven't told you but I honestly..." i scratched the back of my head, blushing even more than I had before „... I like Rodri-" I couldn't even finish my sentence when Via jumped up excitedly „I knew it! I absolutely knew it!" I grabbed her wrist „not too loud" my sister pulled us apart rolling her eyes „It's not like he doesn't know. I mean you kissed him." Olivia smirked „ooooohhh I see how it is" 

Suddenly James came back „what were you guys talking about?" he was smiling „Well I just told Via tha-" she widened her eyes and hit me from the side „that she was hungry. Let's see if we can find any snacks." she pulled James with her to the snacks and left me with Elea behind. „What was that?" I shrugged my shoulders. „Hey y/n I'm glad you made it!" my sister gave me that look and walked away „uhm yeah! I really like it. I couldn't wait to come!" he seemed really happy and we kept talking

Olivia Pov:

I hope James doesn't know. He does keep looking back at them talking. Both of them seem to be happy. I honestly knew she would fancy him but it was just a thought. The fact that they kissed, shows that they have come closer to each other and that this is leading somewhere. I just hope, that James will be fine when he finds out.

Y/n Pov:

It's been half an hour until someone decided to play ‚spinn the bottle'. Rodrick seemed excited, looking over at the guy who had just offered playing. A few people gathered up, even James and Olivia. I didn't think twice and wanted to walk over when Rodrick held my wrist „are you sure? I mean. There are quite a lot of people." i looked at him „it's just a game. Let's have some fun at the party"
