Today I have my eighteen week checkup. Today, I was officially five months pregnant. Although you couldn't even tell unless I told you or had my shirt off or wore a crop top.
I was waiting patiently for school to be over so I could get to my appointment. I was hoping to find out the gender today.
I've been leaning towards keeping my baby, but if I do I would have to graduate early so I could work full time at the nursing home to get insurance and day care.
That's why I was on my way to the councilors office so I could see about graduating earlier than the rest of my class.
I knocked on the door, waiting for an answer. After a few seconds, the door opened revealing Ms. Molina.
"Hi, Olivia. How can I help you today?" She asked me as she let me into her office.
I took a seat in one of the chairs in front of her desk and sat my backpack down.
"I just wanted to know if there was any possibility of me graduating early?"
"Let me pull your records," she walked over to her computer and sat down. "Why do you want to graduate early? If you don't mind me asking." P

"Well I'm having a baby, and I need to work more as and so I can get insurance for the baby and daycare."
"Well congratulations. It's good that you're taking responsibility and initiative." She smiled as she typed away on her computer.
"I see here that you did summer school all three years of high school so it looks like yo rneed two more credits to be eligible to graduate, so by the end of this quarter, you should be good to go as long as you pass with all Cs and above Fanf He. You can graduate in October when we break for fall break."
I smiled, "okay that works for me. That's perfect."
"Would you like me to put in an order for your cap and gown?"
"Yes, please. Wai- how much is it?" I asked nervously. I'm on a tight budget.
"Don't worry about it," she smiled. "Consider it a gift."
I thanked her before getting up, leaving her office and heading back to my sixth period class.
