"Livy baby!" I smiled seeing Mr. Brown hop to his feet as I walked into the activity room.

"Hi Mr. Brown," I smiled and embraced him in a hug then stepping to the side so Stokeley could hug him as well.

"What are you doing here? Todays your day off," Mr. Brown pointed out.

"Yeah I know but we wanted to visit you," I smiled, "I have a surprised for you."

"What is it!" He asked excitedly.

"You're coming home," I explained. "We cleaned up the house and got your room all ready for you."

His eyes filled with tears as he looked between Stokeley and I, "I thought I was gonna die in here."

"Don't say that," I frowned.

"I'm gonna go do the paperwork, I'll be back," stokeley dismissed himself and walked away.

"You truly are an angel," Mr. Brown explained to me. "Thank you."

"No good deed goes unnoticed," I stated. "I should be thanking you. You changed my life."

"What the hell is going on!"

Mr. Brown and I jumped, and I turned around to see Stokeley's mother standing behind me looking absolutely pissed.

"Livy is checking me out and taking me home," Mr. Brown smiled.

Monique clenched her jaw and focused her attention on me, "you little whore."

"Monique!" Mr. Brown looked completely shocked and so was I.

"Excuse me?"

"What gives you the right to check my father out of here!"

"It's a terrible place for him to be when he could be home with family, he wants to be home," I explained.

"You're not family."

"Monique!" Mr. Brown snapped at her once again.

"No dad. Do you even know about her! She got pregnant by her mother's husband and ran away."

I shocked my head, clenching my jaw. "You don't know what happened."

"I know enough."

"Clearly you don't."

"How about you shut the fuck up you whore. You're not taking my father anywhere. It's bad enough you've brainwashed my son."

"You know what. I'm not even gonna go there with you. Mr. Brown I'll be back I'm gonna go check on the progress of your paperwork." I dismissed her and stood from my seat.

"I said you're not taking him," she repeated herself.

"Monique you need to stoppit." Mr. Brown groaned. "I've been here forever and you haven't tried to help me so why is it a problem for her to help me. You don't know anything about her and I raised you better than to behave this way."

"I don't care dad. You don't know anything about her either she's nothing but a whore and you're not going to drag my son down to be a father to your bastard child." She looked at me.

I noticed Stokeley standing behind her and I just shook my head.

He wasn't going to say anything?

"Don't talk about my baby," I warned her.

"Or what?"

I just looked at her and walked past her. I walked past Stokeley and left the room, rushing myself to the nearest bathroom.

I felt the urge to vomit.

I ran into a stall and immediately hurled into the toilet,

When I was done I rinsed my mouth in the sink and washed my hands before standing in the mirror, seeing my eyes tear up and my anxiety rise.

I've worked too damn hard to move past my rape and rebuild my self love. And for her to not know one thing about me and talk to me like that....

And Stokeley didn't say a word.

He just watched and didn't say anything.

That's what hurt me the most.

This whole altercation is triggering me.

After a few minutes I managed to calm myself down and I rinsed off my face with cold water, trying to lessen the redness.

I knew I'd have to face everyone and I couldn't do it. I didn't want to.

Why should I have to deal with his mother? She hates and never gave me a chance. She doesn't even know me.

I shrugged the thought away and left the bathroom, making my way to the front counter to check the status of the paper work.

"Hey have you guys finished yet?" I asked Mercedes, who worked at the front desk.

"Yeah he's all ready you'll just have to help him pack his things," she explained before handing me a thick yellow envelope in my hand.

"Thank you," I gave her a small smile and walked away, making my way back to Mr. Brown's room.

I took a deep breath to prepare myself, before opening the door and reentering the room.

Everyone looked pissed off and I couldn't help but feel like I was the reason. I hated this. I hate causing conflict and feeling like the problem.

"His paperwork is ready, I'll just wait in the car," I said lowly before leaving the papers on the counter and turning to walk away.

No one said anything so I left, going outside and sitting in my car.
