This school is confusing and big for no reason. I didn't even want to be here in the first place.

I sighed as I looked down at my schedule once again, trying to find the classroom I needed to be in right now. I looked up and the classroom was right in front of me this whole time.

I walked inside and everyone was already in class, which of course they were since I was lost for like ten minutes.

"Everyone this is our new student joining us for his senior year, st- how do you say your name?" The teacher looked at me.

"It's just ski," I mumbled, waiting for her to give me my assigned seat.

"Alright, ski," she sighed. "You can take the seat over there next to Olivia. Olivia raise for you hand so he can find you."

I looked over and a pretty brown skin girl raised her hand lazily.

I walked over to my chair which was right next to hers since we had tables instead of desks in this classroom.

I sat down and dropped my backpack on the floor. Olivia gave me a small smile before turning back to the front of the classroom.

"Okay you guys are all seniors now so I expect your to act like it," the teacher... Mrs. Kash told us. "Homework needs to be done on time and correctly. No talking in class while I'm talking, no phones, no cursing, no excuses."

I sighed and dropped my head into my hand, getting bored already. It's the same blah blah shit every first day of school like at this point just make a power point and replay that shit.

"The person you are sitting next to will be your partner for every project you'll have this semester. Now... I'm going to give you each five minuets to talk and get to know one another if you don't already and then we'll regroup."

She sat down at her desk and everyone else did as told, talking to the person next to them.

I turned to Olivia, "I'm ski, nice to meet you."

"I'm Olivia," she gave me a small smile. "So how old are you?"

"Eighteen, you?"

"Eighteen," she nodded her head.

"I like your hair," I complimented her.

She blushed, "thank you. I like your durag."

I smiled, "thank you."

"So.. why'd you move to this school?" She asked.

"Me and my mom just moved down here because my dad passed," I explained. "Just needed a change in scenery I guess."

"I'm sorry for your loss, my dad died too when I was two. But I don't really remember him."

"Yeah. It just sucks you know, we used to be close."

She nodded her head, "well I'm here if you need a friend to talk to."
