I watched as Liv slowly moved around our bedroom, dressing herself for the day.

She'd barely said a few words to me after the altercation with my mom yesterday. I wish that the two of them would just get along.

There's nothing I'd want more right now. But after the way my mom spoke to Olivia, I just don't see that happening.

After Olivia left the room yesterday, I let my mom have it. She had no right to speak to her like that and Olivia hasn't done anything to her or me.

My grandpa let her have it too. And even though it wasn't my place, I told her what really happened with Olivia. I shouldn't have had to tell her in the first place. That's the way I feel about it.

None of this is her business in the first place. But I felt like I owed it to Liv to stand up for her. Maybe she never had anyone do it... maybe she did. But either way I was doing it.

"Liv?" I called her.

She looked at me, waiting for me to talk.

"Why are you mad at me?"

"I'm not."

"Then what's wrong?" I asked her.

"Nothing."

"You feel some type of way."

"I don't."

"Livy stop it, please? I'm trying to talk to you," I sighed.

She sighed and sat down on the edge of the bed, bending down, trying to put on her socks.

I took the socks from her and helped her put them on, seeing her roll her eyes at me. But it didn't matter I was still going to help her.

"What's wrong?"

"Your mom."

"I know... I don't know what got into her, but I told her about herself yesterday," I sighed.

She looked surprised, "you did?"

"Yeah I did. She pissed me off," I smacked my lips. "She doesn't need to talk to you or me for real."

"I don't want to come between you and your mom," she pointed out. "I just don't understand what her problem is with me."

"You're not coming between us, she is," I pointed out. "She can't just be disrespectful like that she always does this with any one I've ever talked to."

"Why?" She made a face and tried to hide it.

"I never did know, I still don't," I shrugged.

"Maybe she just doesn't want you to be happy?" She suggested.

That can't be true. She's my mom why wouldn't she want to me to be happy?

She should want nothing but happiness for me.

"I don't know it doesn't make sense," I shrugged it off. "But you make me happy so I'm choosing you."

A wide smile crept across her face which she tried and failed to hide. "Come on, Mr. Brown is waiting for us."

"And he can keep waiting, I want some love," I smacked my lips before pulling her into my arms. She smiled up at me before kissing my lips and hugging me back.

"You're so cute."
