"Clarisse! you made it to camp" I said smiling widely
"Will! no one told me you had woken" Clarisse said shooting a glare at Lee.
"You two know each other?" Lee asked a little bit of fear in his voice
"We met in Virginia but then Clarisse and Gleeson headed to Maryland while Hawthorn Me and Cecil head to Pennsvinya where we met Lou Ellen" I said
"How is Gleeson by the way?" I asked
"He had been having dreams of his mom so he left shortly after getting me here" Clarisse said
"Oh, I hope his moms ok" I said
"How are you holding up?" Clarisse asked
"I'm okay, My arm hurt a little but I'm just glad everyone is okay" I said then I smirked at her
"So you're not in cabin ten?" I asked jokingly and Clarisse punched my good arm
"Don't make me kill you" Clarisse said
"Ok, ok, I got it" I said laughing a little while my arm started to throb
"I'm heading to dinner so I'll see you around" Clarisse said
"See you" I said as she walked away.
I turn back to look at Lee to see him staring at me with disbelief
"What?" I asked
"If anyone else had said that to her the most they could hope for is a broken arm" Lee said
"Is she really that bad?" I asked
"Is she that bad? She became the head of her cabin on her first day when she challenged the former head and beat him to a pulp" Lee said
"I knew she could fight but I didn't know she could fight that good" I said
"You are one lucky guy if you have her as your friend. let go to the next cabin" Lee said as he took one more look at cabin five then carefully walked away.
Lee passed the next cabin and went to the cabin after it with I thought was odd.
"I bet you can guess who this is" Lee said
"Hephaestus" I said
"Bingo" Lee said
The cabin was made out of bricks and looked a lot like the forge and there were a bunch of gears around the front door.
Lee walked away and down to the last cabin in the line.
"Cabin 11 Hermes a God of many mostly Thieves and Travelers. and his the messenger of the Gods. if you want to know what else his the god of I'd ask Annabeth because I can never remember it all" Lee said
This cabin looked to be the most worn as the brown paint of the walls was peeling. over the front door was a staff of some kind that had wings and two sneaks coiling up because of course it had to be sneaks
"Why did you skip a cabin?" I asked
"I was saving the best for last" Lee said before walking back to cabin seven
the cabin was made completely out of gold and it was glowing slightly in late the sun. around the cabin were beautiful yellow flowers that I had not seen before.
"Welcome home" Lee said as he opened the door.
I was glad that the inside was not as shiny as the outside.
on the inside, there were bunkbeds to my right and to my left and in the middle of the room was a cot. the walls were white and bare with only a few hooks most of which were empty but some had a coat or a weapon. on the windowsills were pots with the same flowers from outside but one window had a pot with hyacinths that were red and purple. the air smelled of dried sage and fresh clean linen.
"Cabin seven, Apollo the God of the sun, light, art, truth, prophecy, healing, plagues, music, poetry, and archery" Lee said proudly
"I thought Artemis was archery?" I asked
"She is but she and Apollo are twins" Lee said.
"Come on, let's go eat now" Lee said.
I followed him out and we walked past the cabins and over to an open pavilion that was framed by white columns with no roof or walls. on the columns were torches with fires going. in the middle was a brazier that was as big as a bathtub and there were 12 tables each with a white cloth that had purple trimming.
"So Why doesn't Hades have a cabin? Hawthorn said that he was one of the big three" I asked as Lee walked over to a table and sat down
"Non of the other gods really like him and a lot of people think his bad luck" Lee said
"Even so that doesn't seem fair" I said
"Nothing we can do about it" Lee said before he handed me a plate
"Follow me" Lee said as he grabbed a plate for himself and then walked away from the table
"Are we not going to sit?" I asked
"First we have to take the best thing on our place and throw it in the fire as an offering to our dad and I think you have a lot to thank him for" Lee said.
I watched as Lee walked up to the fire and scraped part of his food in stood for a moment then stepped to the side and waited for me.
I walked up to the fire and scraped half of my place into the fire then looked up at the sky.
"Thank you for everything and for letting my friends and me get to camp without dying and thank you for showing up to save me" I thought before I walked over to Lee.
"For dinner You'll sit at camp seven's table but you can sit where ever you want for breakfast and lunch." Lee said
"What do we do after dinner?" I asked
"There is an unarmed combat competition that you will not be able to participate in but you can watch" Lee said
"I don't mind that, I'm not much of a fighter anyway" I said.
I sat and ate dinner asking Lee questions every now and again and I got to met my other big brother Michael who was not as relaxed as Lee.
When we were done eating Lee walked me over to where the competition was, and while everyone was fighting I sat just a little ways away and watch the sunset feeling a pace for the first time in a long time.
"Good night dad" I said smiling.
