What's The Plan?

Hayley's P.O.V.

I opened my eyes and stretched my arms. I looked around the apartment and saw that the sun was shining brightly through the window. I stood up and took a shower. When I got out, I heard a weird buzzing sound. I followed the noise to my phone and picked it up. I had a bunch of missed texts.

Jenna:Something happened yesterday and I don't know what to do about it... Text me back when you get this.

Tay: You won't believe what happened after you left!

Tay:Call me back!

Tay:Are you asleep?

Tay:You've gotta be kidding me! It's only ten!

Tay:You have the same sleep schedule as a grandma!

Tay:Text me back you little firecracker!

Tay:Please wake up! I can't go to sleep!

Tay:call me when you wake up so we can hang out and I can tell you about everything.

Geez! What did I miss? What happened after I left? I picked up my phone and dialed her number.

"Hey, what did you want to talk to me about?" I asked as I sat down on my bed.

"Taylor and I broke up... I caught her cheating." Jenna said.

"We warned you about her..." I said.

"That's not the only thing that happened" She said.

"Then what happened?" I asked.

"I'm so sorry Hayley... I know you like her, and it won't ever happen again. I promise, no matter what. Even if you guys don't work out, I won't try anything." She said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Tay and I kissed yesterday... I'm so sorry." She said. I could hear her crying over the phone.

"Look... If it doesn't work out with us, I won't care... Right now though I would prefer you don't talk to me. You know I like her and you still did that. I'm glad you dumped Taylor, but I don't know if I can be in the same room after you kissed the girl I liked" I said. I knew she always fought for what she couldn't have. She always challenged herself that way. Plus, I needed to make it seem like I actually cared. I ended the call with Jenna and dialed Tay's number.

"Finally!" She said.

"Guess who I just talked to?" I asked.

"Me?" She asked.

"No... I talked to Jenna. Apparently she dumped Momsen." I said.

"that explains a lot" she said.

"what's that supposed to mean?" I asked.

"Well after you left we ended up making out... Then she ran out on me, kinda like you did. Then later, she was on my doorstep and kissed me again. Before I could ask her what went wrong she ran off again." Tay said.

"She didn't say twice when she talked to me..." I said.

"so wait... What did you two talk about?" Tay asked.

"She told me she kissed you and that it would never happen again. I told her not to talk to me right now and that if we didn't work out I wouldn't care."

"what?"

"you know how she likes what she can't have. If she can't have you, she'll fight for you. Plus, I had to make it sound like I actually cared." I said.

"well, I guess that makes sense...How long do you think we'll have to keep this up?" Tay asked.

"I don't know. A couple weeks and then we'll 'break up' and it'll all work out!" I said.

"what if it doesn't?" she asked.

"All I know is that this is the closest we've gotten to any sort of progress. I'm pretty sure it'll work this time." I said.

"okay" she replied.

"I'm gonna go. We should make it public today. I'll send out a tweet and we can meet up somewhere where the paparazzi will see us. That way Jenna will hear about it." I said.

"okay... How about we meet at Starbucks then go to the movie theatre and watch a movie?" Tay said.

"sounds good" I said. Then I hung up and got ready for the day.
