Jenna's P.O.V.
"I really do love you Tay" I said.
"I really do love you too Jen" she said. She looked sincere and I'm sure we were both on the verge of tears.
"No more lies?" I asked.
"No more secrets. No more cheating. No more bullshit. Just honesty" she said.
"You promise?" I asked.
"I pinky promise" we both laughed and hooked our pinkies together. "I hated lying to you anyways" she said.
"I believe you" I said. I stared into her beautifully brown eyes and just took her in. I missed her.
"JARDOUGALL IS BACK!!!" Shouted Vic as he jumped onto the couch and tackled us with hugs. Tay squealed and we all laughed.
"Not entirely" Tay said. I looked at her confused. "We haven't kissed yet" she said as she leaned forward and planted her soft lips on mine. It took me by surprise, but I loved it. I loved her.
*two years later*
We were sitting in Hayley and Chads living room in California with Jeremy, and Kat playing cards against humanity and listening to pvris.
"You two are so cute together!" Tay gushed at the newlyweds Hayley and Chad. Hayley blushed and Chad held her hand and kissed her cheek.
"She makes me happy" he said not looking away from Hayley, earning awes from all of us.
"Why'd y'all choose to hang out with all the boring married couples?" Jeremy teased.
"Because we can't hang out with Lynn and Alexa anymore and we don't want them to feel like third wheels" Tay pouted. I started petting Alfie as I laughed at how cute Tay was being.
"Then go on a date and be by yourselves" Hayley joked.
"Fine, I guess we will then" I said standing up then sitting back down laughing.
"You can't play cards against humanity with only two people" Tay said.
"Good point, you need a group of people" I added.
"That's right babe" Tay said as she gave me a quick kiss.
"JARDOUGALL!" Hayley gushed.
"It's getting late and Kat and I have to go pay the babysitter" Jeremy said as him and Kat stood up.
"Okay, get home safe you two" Chad said.
"We should probably get going too then" Tay said. Her and Hayley looked at each other for a split second.
"Okay, Chad and I can clean up." She said. We all stood up and said our goodbyes. Jeremy whispered something to Tay and Hayley slid something into Tays pocket when I have Chad a goodbye hug.
"See you guys another time" Jeremy said. Him and Kat walked out the door first, then Tay and I and we walked to our cars as Hayley closed the door behind us. We got in the car and Tay was in the drivers seat.
"Home?" I asked.
"Nope" she said. I looked at her.
"Where?"
"It's a surprise. I have something special for you" she turned on the radio and we got on the road. We drove for about forty minutes until she pulled off the road and parked next to a lake. She killed the engine and unbuckled.
"What are we doing here?" I asked.
"Just going on a little adventure" she said. She smiled at me and I got out of the car. We walked hand in hand on a trail for about a half an hour taking random turns and slowly going to a hill. At the end of the trail it was a huge cliff rock formation that looked over the lake and the sunset. I saw a picnic blanket, a basket, and a guitar.
"What's this?" I asked.
"Part of the adventure" Tay said smiling as she turned and looked at me. "Have a seat Jen" she said. I smiled and sat on the blanket. She opened up the basket and pulled out a few candles, lighting them and setting them on the edges of the blanket. Then, she pulled out two wine glasses along with some wine. Lastly, she pulled out two plates with fancy looking sandwiches on it.
"This looks amazing!" I said.
"It's a roasted portobello and veggie club sandwich" she said. I picked it up and took a bit while she poured the wine.
"I love it!" I said.
"I'm glad, I made it" she said smiling.
"It's delicious babe" I said. I put the sandwich down and gave her a quick kiss.
"I guess I should do this more often" she joked.
"I'm not opposing the idea" I said causing her to laugh. I looked out at the sunset to see all the pretty picture perfect swirls of orange and purple and slight pinks. We ate dinner and she sang to me and played some guitar. It had gotten darker and the stars were starting to show. Tay laid next to me and we watched the stars.
"I don't want to get up" Tay said.
"There's no reason to get up, right now is perfect" I said.
"It could be better" she said.
"Oh really? Let's see... You made me a romantic dinner, sang to me, and now we're watching the stars. Sounds about as good as it gets."
"Could you stand up Jen?" She asked. I looked at her confused.
"Okay" I said slowly. I stood up and she looked like she was going to get up too, but instead she kneeled on one knee and took out a little box from her pocket. What...?
"Jenna Mcdougall, you've made me the happiest I've ever been. I was wondering if you'd like to continue being happy together forever... As my wife. Would you do me the honor of marrying me?" She asked. I couldn't help but smile at how cute she was. The nervous hopeful look in her eyes. The slight upward curve at each end of her soft lips. The way she gulped down her nerves. I didn't have to think twice.
"I do."
