Tay's P.O.V.

"So was it fun?" Jenna asked. Her shoulders were slumped and her body language showed defeat and disinterest.

"Yeah, but it wasn't what I wanted..." I said quietly. Jenna straightened up and leaned forward on the table.

"What do you mean?" She asked. She looked at me and I looked away. I was pretending to be upset.

"I don't know... It's stupid," I said, but she pressed on.

"What happened?" She asked.

"It was great. We had coffee and watched the movie. I just don't know if we're ready to take the step from friends to... more." I explained.

"Would you want to be more with someone else?" She asked as she tilted her head.

"I don't know..." I said. Then she attacked my lips again, But I didn't feel anything. It was empty.

I opened my eyes. It was just a dream.

"Great" I muttered sarcastically to myself. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. The clock said it was 8:27. I picked up my phone and checked my Twitter. Everyone was tagging me in their ship name attempts and it made me laugh. Hayley had posted a couple tweets for ship names on her own. I laughed at a few of them. There was Tayley, Haylor, Hay, Jilliams, Wardine, and Willdine. no... Just no. I decided to send a tweet to Hayley.

Me: @yelyahwilliams so you did enjoy yesterday?

All of our followers started freaking out and I couldn't help but laugh. I put my phone down and started to get ready for the day. I got some cereal and turned on the tv in my room as I plopped down on to the edge of my bed. I watched some adventure time as I finished up my lucky charms. I got up and cleaned my bowl. When I got back I picked up my phone again and saw a message.

Hayley: Do you want to make an appearance again?

I thought about it for a minute. I looked outside my apartment window and opened it up. I saw a bunch of people with camera's trying to hide. That's when I came up with a better idea.

Me: Why don't you come on over and we can hang out and make "plans"

Hayley:okay, I'll be there in about an hour or so ✌🏼

I put my phone down and started watching tv again. About twenty minutes passed and I got bored, so I turned off the tv and picked up my guitar. I started strumming random chords and tried to write some new music. I couldn't even come up with any words that worked well together. I put down my guitar and went to go get a snack when I heard a knock on the door. When I got closer to the door I heard shouting and the knock got louder and desperate. I ran to the door and opened it up to see an uncomfortable looking Hayley. Across the hall, my neighbors were fighting and I guess they didnt care to wait till they were inside. I ushered Hayley into my apartment.

"Sorry about that," I said as I took her jacket and placed it on the coat rack.

"It wasn't your fault... Although, it was really awkward." she said. She was wearing a baggy Avenged Sevenfold shirt and ripped skinny jeans with doc martins.

"I bet" I said. There was an awkward silence. I slid my hands into my pockets and slightly rocked back and forth on my feet.

"So you wanted to hang out?" She asked, breaking the silence.

"Yeah. I saw that there were paps outside the apartment and I figured that if they saw you and we hung out for a couple hours..." I said.

"They would assume we're doing it?" She asked while finishing my sentence. I nodded. To be honest, I was a little bit embarrassed.

"If you don't mind," I said.

"No, it was a good idea." She said nodding.

"Are you sure we aren't taking this too far?" I asked.

"Unless you tell everyone that we're lying, I think we should be in good shape. I talked to Jenna earlier this morning and she kept asking about you and the date. Whenever I told her how much fun I had or when we kissed she would get upset. If we keep this up for a little while longer, than we could actually make this work!" She said happily. I just nodded.

"I wish she would like me because of who I am. I'd hate to start our relationship off with a lie. It just feels... I don't know, shameful. I feel guilty, I don't know if we're doing the right thing." I said.

"If you don't get your shit together, this won't work. Got it?" She asked. I nodded. Hayley pulled me into a comforting hug and I accepted it. We went up to my bedroom. I closed the window and shut the blinds. Then I got on the bed and so did Hayley. I turned on the tv and checked to see if anything was on. After about ten minutes of channel surfing, Hayley suggested that we play a game. We ended up playing Call of Duty for about four hours straight. It was funny watching her get frustrated and pouting. It was cute. She was cute. I could see why a lot of people liked her. I caught myself staring at her and I shook my head clear of those thoughts. She's only doing this because she's your friend. She doesn't want to be anything more than that. I turned my attention back to the game and continued to play.
