Hayley's P.O.V.

Ever since I met chad things were becoming a little less stressful. He helped me suppress and forget. He was my escape. It's like my mind was on a holiday and I want it to stay that way. He knows how to make me laugh and smile. He knows my boundaries and respects them. He's never done anything wrong by me and he's a great person. When has Tay ever done that for me?

I pulled up to the Starbucks to meet Chad for a cup of coffee. I knew he liked me a lot, but I liked him as a friend. Sure I said yes when he asked to be in a relationship, but I only said yes because it was time to move on. Sure I was still infatuated with Tay... I just let him think I was really into their music, but in reality I just wanted to hear her voice again. Man, I suck. I got out of the car and walked in. I ordered a drink an got a scone. When I got my drink I looked around for chad. When I saw him, he was sitting at a table with another girl? What?!? He waved me over. Should I be worried? If I had caught him or if he was going to break things off wouldn't he look guilty? I slowly made my way over to the table. I grabbed a chair and sat down. I kissed chad.

"Hey babe, what's up? I thought it was going to be me an you time?" I said. He smiles proudly.

"Well, I know you wanted that. Me too, but you won't believe who I just ran in to" he said. I looked confused.

"Me either" she said. I froze. I didn't have to turn to know that it was Tay's voice. My breathing quickened. Chad thought I was a happy nervous. Little did he know it was the complete opposite. I decided to pretend it was a happy nervous. I wouldn't want to hurt his feelings or confuse him. I turned my head.

"Oh my god! Your Tay Jardine!" I said faking my excitement. She looked hurt, but seemed to take a hint.

"Hayley Williams of Paramore!" She said back with equal excitement. Chads phone rang and he pulled it out.

"Excuse me for a second" he said. He stood up and answered the call.

"So... He doesn't know?" Tay said as she looked down at the table.

"No. No one is going to know" I said.

"Look Hayley. What we did wasn't okay. We both know that. And it's not entirely your fault. I let it happen. I liked you. I still like you, but I want us all to be friends again. Okay?" She said.

"It'll be hard to do" I said.

"I should probably get going. I told Jenna I'd be back home by now" she said. She stood up and chad came back to the table.

"It's nice meeting you. Just remember... There's always going to be someone who cares about you" chad said to her.

"Thanks. I'll see you around maybe. Who knows. It's a big city" she said with a small smile. She turned and left. Chad sat back down.

"What was the call about?" I asked.

"The guys wanted me to come to a band practice, but I told them I was busy" he said.

"You didn't have to"

"But I wanted to" he said lovingly. We smiled at each other and held hands as we talked.
