A group of five walk towards a short dark brunette women in blue scrubs. As the steps come closer, she turns around, a small smile on her lips.
"Hello, Dr Daphne Torres, but you may call me Dr T or Dr Torres. I don't know any of you, so I don't trust any of you so don't bother sucking up."
She starts to walk forward, the group of interns following behind her. She picks up a big binder, carrying it on her hip like it's a child, "Trauma protocols, phone lists, pagers. Nurses will page you and you will run to get to them, understand?"
She turns back, an asian girl almost hitting her as she jots down what she says, "sorry."
Daphne let's out a sigh as she turns back around, "Your first shift will go on for 48 hours." She walks over to an on call room, "This is an on call room, attendings hog them. Let them, they have been working way longer then you."
She turns with her hands in her hips and a small small resting on her lips, "Any questions?"
Nobody raises a hand so Daphne nods, "Okay, good. Now, what are your names?"
A young girl with long brown hair raises her hand, "I'm Jane Kenz."
The asian girl whom had almost hit Daphne earlier steps forward, "Liana Walters."
A mixed boy steps up, "Hewey Richie Garfield ma'am." Daphne smiles at the ma'am and looks at the last two, "Issac Tyler."
"Marissa Bren."
Daphne nods and gives them all a smile, "Okay I want you all to start with charts and I'll page you when I need you, got it?"
All five interns nod and disperse towards the nurses desk leaving Daphne by herself. She placed her hand into her stomach and lets out a breath, "We got this baby."

I know it's a short one but so just wanted to put like a small introduction to this act. Mark does know about the baby, and I will include a flashback next chapter to when he found out!!
