Daphnes been back for about two weeks now and it's been the most chaotic weeks of Daphnes career so far.
Why?
The contest. That's why.
Daphne runs (really just speed walks) down the hallway, trying to catch up with Cristina, Meredith, and Izzie when she watches Cris bump Izzie to the ground with her hip. She smirks to herself and passes by, not bothering to help the blonde.
After finally catching up to the girls, Izzie now having gotten up as well and caught up, the four residents continue down the hallway and around the corner until Meredith comes to a stop. A complete stop.
"Mere! Don't just stop like that!"
As the three girls look to find why Meredith is frozen in her place, they find Derek walking across the "catwalk" as Daphne calls it, Rose holding his hand.
"Oh my god." Daphne turns to Cristina, "Why did you not tell me he was seeing somebody else?"
Cristina shrugs and whispers to the girl, trying not let Meredith hear them whispering about her, "I couldn't find an appropriate time, and I honestly didn't know they were together. I thought he was just flirting."
Daphne shakes her head, "This is messed up."
Finally, after being in a trance, Meredith speaks up, "No it's not. I'm not ready for commitment, and she is. It's totally fine."
"No it's not Mere," Daphne walks in front of Meredith, the four girls now walking away, but Daphne facing them, walking backwards, "It's not okay to either of you. He told you he wanted to marry and have children with you, but he can easily move on? There's no way. So he has to be stringing Rose along, which is just wrong. And now he's emotionally fucking with you by parading around the hospital with her."
Christina shakes her, "Men."
"Men."

"Come on, lady in the streets, tramp in the sheets. Am I right?"
"Excuse me."
Both men, Derek and Mark, turn around to find Daphne stand in behind them, charts in her one hand, her other on her stomach, and her four interns standing behind her. They were on their way to go visit Liana in her room, who is now awake and just recovering.
"Doll!"
Derek chuckles to himself, ready to watch this disaster, "Did you just say lady in the streets, tramp in the sheets?"
