With life and death experiences, you don't always wake up feeling like death. Or feeling like something is wrong. Sometimes, just sometimes, it starts off as the best day.

Daphne stands with Meredith in the door to Meredith's bedroom, both watching as Christina jumps around the room dancing.
"Marks been acting weird. He won't let me use the microwave in our apartment, won't let the water be too hot in our shower. He literally is coming in during my shower just to check the temperature. No hot shower sex. Nope, just shower temperature checking."
"Did you ask him why?"
Christina groans from across the room, "No talking! No complaining! Just dance."
Meredith rolls her eyes at the girl and starts dancing into the room, "I don't like that Derek's dating, and it's not Sydney that's getting to me, it's the girl that's going to come after Sydney."
Daphne starts to dance a little bit as well, not jumping up and down though because of the baby, "You should talk to him. Make it exclusive."
"You know what, I will!"
The girls continue to dance around until Daphne eventually sees Izzie in the doorway. She dances over to the door, a small smile forming on the blondes face, until Daphne slams the door shut.
She can hear Izzie scoff from the other side of the door but let's out a laugh, "No adulterous women in this room!"

Daphne stands in Mark's patients room, Nick Hanscomb. Mark starts to introduce Nick and his issue to all of the interns and residents, some looking bored and yawning, others being utterly intrigued by Nick and his neck.
"They look scared."
"They're medical professionals, a healthy level of fear is encouraged."
Nick looks around awkwardly, "Well, um, then if I do die, it would have been lovely meeting you all."
"See the patient is confident! You should be confident! That's it."
Daphne turns and instructs all of her interns on what to do, leaving Liana to stay with her, "That's was good Mark!"
"Yeah! You want in on the case doll?"
Daphne purses her lips and gives the man a kiss on the lips, "Sorry baby, but Bailey has already paged me for downstairs after this meeting was over."
Mark rolls his eyes but gives the girl a smile, "Hm, okay, have some fun baby and be careful, okay? Don't do anything that can have an effect on our baby!"
Daphne let's out a sigh as she leaves the room with Liana following behind, "He always like that?"
"Not until recently."
Mark turns back into the room when he catches Nick's eye, "She's pretty, your wife?"
"No, not yet."

"What do we got?"
Daphne runs out behind Bailey, Callie, Christina, and Izzie, Liana and Meredith following behind her.
"Jacob Nolston, 47, status post a double bypass surgery two weeks ago, now presents febrile with pain and tenderness in his surgical incisions."
"We got a 10-car pileup on the freeway, you mind taking him from here?"
"Oh you got it!"
Callie speaks up, "Okay, I need a gurney for transfer!" Izzie and Christina then both speak up, competing for Hahns attention and cardio, "I'll page Hahn!"
"Sounds like we all agree, get him inside and flip for him!"
The EMT trust to Jacob, "You're in good hands Mr. Nolston."
"Thank you gentlemen."
Everyone turns to Nacob and begins to lift him onto the gurney as Daphne and Liana go to grab the rest of his personal belongings from the ambulance as well as gather his chart from the EMTs.
"Hey you guys?!"
"You guys we should move!"
Daphne lifts her head from the chart to find another ambulance coming right at her and the other ambulance. She turns to the others as Meredith screams out, "Move!"
She turns back to run towards the ER when she feels a force hit her towards the ground and a girl scream out. And then, everything goes black.
Sometimes, life and death experiences, they can come even on the best days.

Hey y'all, I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a while I'm just going through some things in my personal life! I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and I promise I'll start posting more!
I'm also thinking of doing some headcanon chapters at the end of this book for the episodes or events that I don't touch on. How do y'all feel about that?
