Sal's POV

Due to everyone else being busy, it was just me and Larry at the hospital. After a day or two here, they said I could finally go home. Once they got me unhooked from everything, Larry got dragged off to deal with something, which leaves me alone to get myself ready. I take the bag Ash brought me and head into the bathroom.

Rummaging through the bag, I take out everything Ash put in there for me. Boxers, black ripped jeans, and a dark blue long sleeve shirt. That I was grateful for, considering that my arms were all bandaged up. I didn't need the questions right now. I put my glass eye into my eye socket before fixing my hair, I decide to just brush it and then clip my mask on. Not like I'm trying to look good right now anyway.

I grab my bag and sling it over my shoulder, walking out of the bathroom to meet up with Larry. He meets me outside the door to the hospital room, smiling at me and kissing the top of my head.

"Ready to get home? Neil's here to pick us up." He asks, taking my hand and leading me towards the elevator.

"Yeah, I just want to spend the rest of my spring break at home. Speaking of which, wanna spend the night at my place? Dad shouldn't be home for another week or so."

"Obviously, you think I'm leaving you alone after all this?"

"I didn't expect you too."

We walk out the front doors, seeing Neil at the front. He waves at us and unlocks the door. Larry and I hop in the back seat, buckling up before Larry wraps an arm around me.

"Alright Sal, lets get you home," Neil says.

I sigh in relief when I step into my apartment, Larry closing the door behind me. I decide that first on the agenda is relaxing. It's what I need right now.

I walk into my room, seeing that it's cleaner than when I left it. "Who cleaned my room?" I ask.

"Ash did, she didn't want you to see the mess again."

"Remind me to thank her the next time I see her." I throw my bag into the corner of my room, Gizmo popping out from underneath my bed from the noise. I kneel down and he jumps onto me, nuzzling his face under my chin. I hug him and pet his back. "Hi Giz, I missed you too."

"Thank Neil. He took care of him throughout the whole ordeal."

"Will do." I stand up, Gizmo in my arms as I sit down on my bed. He curls up at the foot of my bed as I kick off my shoes.

"So what are we doing, Sally Face?" He asks as I take off my mask and glass eye, placing my mask on the dresser and my eye in the fresh glass of water I'm assuming Ash put out.

"Grab the weed out of my dresser, we can smoke while I play my guitar."

"Sounds good."

I grab my guitar from its spot next to my bed, and by the time I'm settled again the bag and a lighter were in his hands. We decide to share the first joint while I play a soft rock song I had put to memory.

Honestly, this is what I really love about Larry. The fact that after everything that has happened, we can go home and just relax together and pretend like nothing bad could ever happen again.

I reposition myself so my back is leaning against Larry. He wraps an arm around my torso, laying his head against mine.

"I'm surprised you still remembered that song," he says, blowing smoke out of his mouth.

"Well it was the first song that came on the radio after our one year. So I had to learn it. And I don't think I'll ever forget it." We stop talking once more, no sound other than my guitar. At least until Larry chuckles a bit. "What's so funny?"

"It's just...after everything that happened, you seem fine. And what we're doing, it's like it's just me and you, Sal."

Well I can admit I'm not 100% okay. The pain is still immense, but it's nothing compared to the pain I experienced when I got attacked by the dog. Yet I still wont let Larry know. He's worried enough about me. And besides, it's over now. The demons gone, I'm healing fine, Travis isn't a dick to me anymore. It's looking up for me in the meantime.

But I really don't want to think about that right now. I mean, hell, I just got out of the hospital and I'm smoking weed in my room with my boyfriend while playing our favorite song. It's pure bliss for me. Sure, not everyone would enjoy this, but it's where my happiness comes from. Maybe I do deserve happiness after all.

I smile and turn my head, pecking Larry's lips. "Yeah Lar, just me and you."
