Larry's POV

Days passed after the Travis incident, and Sal hasn't been around. At most, he's told me that he was fine before walking away from me. Since then, the whole group has been looking for signs, researching, doing anything we can to figure this out. And our suspicions about possession is high.

"Look, I know I'm the skeptic here, but that wasn't Sal. His eye was red, he got so angry so quickly, and he hit Travis like he wanted him dead," Ash said, shaking a little at the thought of what her and I experienced. "Larry hasn't even hit him that hard before."

"Plus, my boyfriend can't pick Travis up and pin him to a locker with one arm," I say, crossing my arms and leaning against the wall.

Todd sighed and continued to type at his computer, Neil instinctively rubbing Todd's shoulder. We were all on edge, a little scared. Ash has already expressed that she's scared cause she doesn't know when Sal could snap next. I'm scared because the last time I got a good look at Sal, he looked like he was about to drop dead if it wasn't for the fear running through his veins.

"Well due to all of this, we have no choice but to assume that this is demonic possession and that the red eyed demon is residing in Sal's mind," Todd says, finally having run out of explanations.

It was as if my worst fear has come to life. Sal, my Sal is being tortured by the same demon I feared. And I can't help but feel responsible. If it wasn't for my fear, Sal wouldn't have gone off on his own to try to get rid of it.

"Well, what do we do?" Neil asks, sitting on Todd's bed.

"We have no choice but to preform an exorcism, otherwise we don't know what the demon could do to Sal," Todd says, walking over to his bookshelf. "I remember buying a book on demonic possession and exorcism a while back, I can study it and meet you down in the cult building in about an hour. It would be the safest place to do this."

"Woah woah woah, we're doing this now?" Ash asks.

"We have no choice, we don't know how long Sal has been possessed and we have to get it out," Todd says, already opening the book.

"Todd, man, slow down for a second," I say, "What if you do it wrong? Won't that hurt him?"

He sighs, "I'm not for certain. Perhaps you're right. Give me a week, in the meantime, try to get Sal to open up about what happened. He needs to be on board with this as well. Plus, we'll need to get him down there and I'm sure Larry would prefer to not knock his own boyfriend out."

I nod and pat Todd's shoulder, "You and Neil get this ready, Ash and I will deal with Sal."

Todd nods and goes to sit next to Neil, opening the book to the first page. Ash and I look at each other and nod, leaving Todd's apartment and heading to Sal's. It's always where he goes after school lately.

Ash knocks on the door when we get there, and we wait for a bit. I honestly didn't think he would open the door, at least until he did. He was holding his mask up to his face, until he realized that it was us and put it down.

"Oh...what are you guys doing here?" He asked, his voice sounding so tired and weak.

I was about to speak, but Ask quickly pushed Sal into his apartment and held him against the wall. I rush in, shutting the door behind me before pushing Ash off Sal.

"What the fuck, Ash?!" I say, pulling Sal close to me. My heart breaks a bit when I feel him grip my shirt with shaky hands.

"Cut the shit, Sal! What is going on with you?!" She asks, obviously pissed.

I look down at Sal, seeing him stare at her with a straight face. He didn't answer, instead he lets me go and walks to his room. Ash and I look at each other, confused before following.

Upon walking into his room, I can honestly say that Sal wasn't the only mess. Clothes were all over the floor along with a few dried blood spots. Scratch marks covered his walks and all his posters and pictures were ripped down. By the time I look back over at Sal, he had his knees curled up to his chest and was just staring off into space.

Ash and I slowly walk over to him, sitting on his bed next to him. "I know what's wrong with you, Sal," I say.

"No you don't..." He replies, his voice so low it was almost a whisper.

"Then tell me, I can't stand to see you like this," I say, Ash nodding in agreeance before gently placing her hand on top of Sal's.

He flinches a bit, sliding his hand away from hers. I sigh and look at him, desperation in my eyes. "Baby, please..."

"Guys, please just go away...I don't need your help."

"Obviously you do!"

"Ash-"

"Shut up Larry! Sal look at yourself! Look at your room! You're not okay, none of this is okay! We just want you help, but we can't if you keep pushing us away!" She yells, standing up.

Sal clenches his fists and jumps off the bed, looking at her. "I keep pushing you away cause you can't help me! You'll only get hurt if you try! Hell, all of you could die! I couldn't live with myself if something happened to you! I can barely even live with myself because of what I did to Travis! I'm not the same, Ash, I'm a fucking monster!" He yells, tears streaming down his face.

I slowly stand up, placing a hand on Sal's shoulder. He turns around and looks up at me. I don't see anger in his eye though, I just see a sad, scared little boy who doesn't know what to do. I give him a soft smile and open my arms to him. He hesitates for a second before throwing himself into my arms, sobbing uncontrollably.

I squeeze him tightly, as if I never wanted to let him go again. "Shh, its okay baby, I've got you," I say, rubbing his back.

Ash sighs, apologizing to Sal before walking over and hugging him. We just stand there and hug him, letting him cry it all out.

"I c-can't take it a-anymore, Larry..." He said, sounding so broken inside.

I sigh and kiss the top of his head, rocking back and forth with him in my hold. I feel as if we're not gonna get an answer out of him just yet, but this is a step. I have a week to pull this off, a week to get him to crack, but for now, all I need is Sal in my hold. I just need him to know what no matter what, I will help him.
