   Things have..been off..

   Jack moved to Detroit a year ago, and ever since he's felt..like he's being watched. It can't be anything, rose is coming over tonight.

   Jack heard a knock at the door and immediately ran to open it, he lived in the city, a penthouse almost.

   Rose walked in and hugged her taller friend, smiling softly. "Hey jack..how've you been? I only got a few minutes..Linda texted me wanted to go out for dinner." She said as she let go of jack. Jack smiled lightly. "Oh. Alright, you if you had to cancel you could of texted me instead of coming all the way here.."

   "Ah, no I don't min—.." rose glanced over at the kitchen island and tapped on jacks shoulder. "uh..jack. What's that?" She asked, pointing to it.

   Jack confused, looked over. His eyes widened as he walked over to it.

   Blood on his marbled counter, with a knife.

  "I..fuck I've had a bad feeling I-fuck, you have to go I'm gonna call the police." Jack said, taking rose out.

   Rose looked at him and nodded. "Jack I-be safe, please.."

   "Yeah..yeah just-go."

   Jack got back inside of the house and walked over to his phone, picking it up to call the police before it rang.

   A number..he didn't recognize. It's never a good idea to answer.

   "Hello..?" Jack asked, listening on the other line.

   After a few seconds, he heard a voice.

   "Hey."

   It was..a male..voice raspy and clearly filled with tiredness.

   "W-who's this?" Jack asked, and he chuckled.

   "a friend..let's just talk, Hm..?" He said, and Jack bit his bottom lip before looking around.

   That feeling kept coming back, he—

   "okay..w-whatssup."
   "Halloweens coming up..you got a movie your gonna watch?"
   "Uh..y-yeah..actually me and my friend were gonna watch Halloween..with Jason." Jack said, leaning on the other counter while staring at the blood on his island.

   "Jason huh? Good movie.."
   "What's yours? Since you wanna..talk." Jack asked, trying to describe the voice in his head to tell the police if it got too..weird.

   "Guess."
  
   Jack thought for a moment.

   "uh..nightmare on elm street?"
   "Is that the one where that guy has knives for fingers?" He asked. Jack could hear something in the background. It sounded like an ambulance..

   Weird. He hears it too.

   "yeah. freddy krueger."
   "Freddy! That's right..I liked that movie."
  
   Jack chuckled. This conversation was so pointless.

   "It was scary."
   "Yeah the first one was. The others sucked." Jack admitted, walking over to the large windows, looking at the city.

   "You got a boyfriend?" He asked, and Jack looked around again.

  "Why..you wanna ask me out?" He asked, grinning. This is such a joke. Maybe it's just a coincidence, Jack is gay so it's weird but..
